best USB 3 hub

I recently purchased a Surface Pro 3 and need ideas on a good usb 3 hub. I'll need to hook up a phone and a couple external hard drives. At least one hard drive and a phone at a time.
I bought one at walmart that was a 2.0 hub and it doesn't power them. I can only do one device at a time, clearly useless.

Ars Technica did a great USB 3.0 hub recommendation article just last week.
