Best technology publications?

I am a technology junky. While I do not always have to own the latest innovations, I enjoy reading about advancements and research. I am also a reviews junky. I like reading what "regular""people think about a product (amazon) as well as the "experts" before I buy something. The problem with reading "experts" reviews is I don't know who are giving honest reviews and who are getting good review kick backs, so I try to read a few different sources. Reviews on Amazon can be contradictory.
With all that said, which technology publications do you guys use for 1) reading the latest technology advancements/what is being researched 2) product reviews, particularly electronic based, free or subscription? Is consumer reports worth the subscription? Is product reviews from pcmag and/or cnet trustworthy? I will probably still read other sources, but it would be good to put an A-list together. Thanks.

Ars Technica, The Verge for mainstream tech news. If you are into semiconductors, CPUs, GPUs and such, WCCFTech and EEtimes have pretty good coverage.

AnandTech is probably the best review site out there and the least biased. Engadget and Techcrunch are decent too. Re/code is okay.
