an O/S installation
had ultimate on an asus, always had issues
used a different disk to install 7 pro
it wiped out all files...documents is what I mainly want
anyone with experience with this?!

so you installed a new OS that wiped out your documents...and now you want to retrieve those documents? Is that the gist of what you're asking...?

Restore them from the backup you made in step 1 of any O/S installation.
