Best prepaid cell plan for my grandfather

He needs a simple flip phone with actual buttons, not a touch-screen smart phone.

He might use 20 minutes over the next year. He doesn't need text, email, Internet, etc


What's the best/cheapest route?

I hear PrimeCo has a couple of nice Motorola phones. I haven't priced them in years though.

T-Mobile pay-as-you-go plan. $3 a month minimum includes 30 minutes. Additional minutes are ten cents each. He probably would not use the minimum each month.

Pick up a sturdy unlocked GSM phone on e-bay or from friends. Most people have half a dozen perfectly serviceable phones in their junk boxes that would be fine for his purposes.

virgin mobile LINK / has a pay lo program , 20 dollars a month and up
