Part of our New Year resolution is to try to cut down on our bills and I plan on doing something major with our cell phone bill.

what pre paid service is best in the BR area?

We currently have AT&T and I have the iphone 6 and my wife has the iphone 5. So i plan on using our current devices.

She doesnt use much mobile data, but i use about 14gb/month. (i use alot of data when at work and driving).

any suggestions?

You can get Straight Talk sim cards for $15 each, then get their unlimited plan for $45/month. The sim cards use Sprint though.

I went from att to straight talk years ago and haven't had any issues. $45 month (50 actually) 5gb 4g lte.

Straight Talk is unlimited, but you only get 5GB LTE, then they throttle it down to roughly dialup speed. Plenty for most people, but OP says he uses 14GB a month.

Before I put the lte Sim card in, I was using 10gb and not being throttled down. It sucks going over 5gb, however you can buy more data when you do. I think even at $100 for 10gb it's still competitive.

We pay $220 a month with Verizon for 31gbs for 6 phones and 1 iPad.

You can get your AT&T bill downs drastically if you don't go under contract and don't have the old unlimited data plan.

I have Cricket's 10gb plan. It's $55/month if you setup auto pay. You'll be throttled after the 10gb but it's a good deal of you stay around 10gb. Cricket is owned by AT&T so they use their towers. Your download is limited to 8mbps down but in real world use I haven't noticed much of a difference from a post paid AT&T plan.
