What are the best trackers out right now? Looking for anything under 150. I know fitbit is a big name just wondering if there's something else.

Not under $150 but Microsoft Band 2 is the best.

Fitbit isn't really a fitness tracker, it's just a fancy pedometer. But if you insist on fitbit go with the flex HR so you get the heart rare monitor.

I'd personally recommend a GPS watch over a fitbit though.

I preordered the Xiaomi Mi Band 1S for $18. Worth a shot for the price. Has good reviews and compares favorably to the Fitbit.

You can now get the first microsoft band for $100

LINK

Still have the first microsoft band and I still love it. My husband got the newer one...and yes his is nicer style wise and had more features(and he paid $250 for it). But if you only wanted to spend $100...the first one is still a very good option.

My wife wants one of these watches for Christmas. I don't mind paying for a nice one but what do options should I look for? What does the extra $ get me.

If you have a Samsung phone the Gear Fit is currently on sale through the Samsung website. It's $79.99 through tomorrow, usually $149.99. I bought my wife one and she seems to love it. Has alot of the same features of a fit bit, pedometer, heart rate monitor etc. Also a few neat apps to track and plan goals and milestones.
