Auto-hide the taskbar stopped working!

I had just rebooted
and the auto-hide the task bar just stopped working.
I tried changing it back n forth, r clik uncheck option, apply ,recheck option apply etc to no avail
any ideas on how to fix this?

Don't know if it will work for Windows 7, but I've got 10 Pro and the taskbar started not hiding a couple of months ago - what I do is open up task manager and restart windows explorer.

since the reboot didn't work
I just let it shut down completely didn't force it either
