Anyone have any luck with auditing OSX? I've tried a few programs, but am getting no where with it.

Thanks

auditing? What are you trying to do specifically?

Are you talking about a vulnerability scan or something different?

I've used Nessus and Nexpose in the past for entire networks, and they regularly pull up vulnerabilities or outdated software on Macs.

Are you internal or external?

If internal, you need to utilize or purchase a good management system to do so (Spiceworks, ManageEngine, Solarwinds, etc).

If external, get the IT guy to pull a report for you.

When they can't provide the information, then you have your finding/issue.

We use Autotask endpoint management and it audits OSX hardware and software. No sure if you're looking for a one time or ongoing solution.

Bruh, you're the one that still hasn't figured out we're making fun of YOUR grammatical error. 's is singular possessive. The correct statement is "Auditing Macs". But yeah, we're the small minded idiots.

We use VCM from VMWare for auditing Windows. I see reference to Unix in the software but have never used it for Unix. LINK
