I have had very few problems but i live very near the service box. In other threads that appears to be the difference-- distance from the hub or whatever it is called.

Still hard to say. The real factor is the distance from your house to the DSLAM unit. It may be in that box or may be further away in the CO. If you've had good service with DSL, you are probably in good shape because u-verse really just bonds two DSL pairs together.

Just do Direct TV. It's cheaper, better picture, more options and doesn't pull from your bandwidth. Plus you get NFL Sunday Ticket for free.

Yep. I loved the whole home DVR service, the interface was great, and even the wireless box they put in the kids playroom when I specifically asked for a wired box, worked perfectly. Internet was horrible. The main reason I ended up cutting the cord.

Yes, but only if you have fiber in your neighborhood.

Regular dsl blows. Att uverse dsl blows slightly less.

Cable and fiber are king.

But yes, if u have regular dsl and can upgrade to uverse no reason not to.

I had their 18mbps service and would only get 18mbps down/0.5mbps up because it was the best they offered. They rolled out 24mbps down 2 weeks ago and I get 30mbps down/5mbps up.

Never had any outage or service problems though

It sucks!! Just upgraded to uverse phone and internet where they had to pull wire from four houses down and use router from old system to make it work. It works sometimes, which like a parachute ain't worth a damn. Avoid it like the plague.

Stay far away from U-Verse then, unless it is their gigapower fiber. That's the only service worth a damn from that company.

Had it for about 2.5 years.

It's been fine for us, just pretty expensive. AT&T is annoying to deal with if you need them. We get about 50mbps.

I'd rather be on DirecTV but I'm not sure we'll be able to due to trees in our area.

Also, if you're looking for TV, know that Uverse is transitioning out and there is talk it may be gone before the end of the year.

Yes. I had Uverse for 3 years before I cut the cord and the only complaint I had was the price after my enrollment deal was up.
