Do you mean the reskinned beats by Dre app?

Honestly, if it were that it I think it would be a little better. I miss "The Sentence"

Say what you will, but you don't see this level of pettiness against Google apps in the App Store

That's because Google doesn't treat iOS users as second class citizens. Their iOS apps are great, and they actually had some before 8 years into the smartphone era.
I mean come on Apple, just release iMessage for Android already so we can all use the same messaging system.

Windows released a similar all for windows phone a while back with similar reviews.

Because Google is in the data services business where the more people that use their services, the better for them. Apple is not in the data services business, they are in the hardware business. Using Apple services without buying their hardware does nothing for them. Why do you feel like Apple owes you something for nothing?

Why would they open up a competitive advantage? I mean, that's like Apple saying to you "Come on, just get an iPhone already so we can all use the same messaging system." You don't give a shite about getting an iPhone and they don't give a shite about porting iMessage.

How do you expect people to feel?

Yeah, I think this is short sighted on Apple's part. Android users currently have very little exposure to the Apple experience outside of what they see their friends and family do on Apple devices.
If you open iMessage to Android users, they might get interested about other aspects of Apple. Not to mention, Apple could eventually position iMessage as the next email (except they'd control it). This would open up all sorts of revenue possibilities.
I'm just not convinced that Apple can exist forever as a manufacturer of expensive and high margin hardware (at least phones and tablets). Think they'll have to broaden their base a bit to keep up in 10 years from now.

Yeah, because Google apps fill in the gigantic gaping holes left by shitty Apple products.

It wasn't bad. I've just been really happy with Google all access. I tried the free trial for beats though.

Tech Analysts have been saying this since 1977. Would you say the same thing about BMW or Mercedes?

Looks like it is a rebrand of an existing app.
Also, I love this:

Criticisms in the negative reviews include complaints about iOS, Apple, and that the app uses Apple's design philosophy rather than Google's Material Design.

what's the ha ha ha about
this is as stupid as iTunes "looking" like the Mac version (brushed steel, weird fonts and window bezel) when it was released for windows where the edges of the 'rounded' player left ugly triangles.
shows their level of pettiness and attitude towards having to support anything outside their ivory tower of awesomeness.
Seems every time Microsoft or Google builds their apps for iOS, they go to great lengths to follow Apple's design guidelines.
I guess that only works one-way.

I don't really see it as a big deal how the app is designed, especially considering it's intended to be used only once. The hilariously disrespectful part for me is that Apple's first foray into Android is an attempt to get people off Android, rather than offer something useful.
