Any SwiftKey users find their phones getting slow?

Sometimes there is some lag when the keyboard tries to open, and I can deal with that since it's expected and only while the keyboard loads. Now, it might just be my imagination, but I could swear that my entire phone is faster since switching to the stock keyboard. I've been having some lag issues when doing non-keyboard things, but I never could pinpoint the problem.
There are some things I will miss about SwiftKey, but if my phone stays as snappy as it is now, I can do without.

I have not. But I recently went looking for new keyboards, and in reading about SwiftKey (I already had it but just wanted to see how it was faring these days), I saw a lot of complaints about lag.

Only time SwiftKey lags for me is when I have its keypress sounds on. It's been that way across multiple devices for me.

Yes, as a matter of fact it has. Never thought about it being the issue

Try switching keyboards and let me know if it helps. Like I said, it might be my imagination.

I had this happened with my old phone. It didn't occur to me that it was causing lag on this phone til I saw this thread. I went back to the default keyboard and everything seems to be running a little smoother.

It's been pretty awful lately.

Yeah, I've been having a lot of lag problems lately with Swiftkey.

I knew something was odd my s7 edge kept freezing when i would go to type.. deleted it and its better
