And with a inevitable bump in price for prime membership on the future, this is a great deal.

Unfortunately, my membership isn't up till January I think or I would jump all over this.

I think there is a way to gift it to yourself today and extend your membership for a year at this price.

I don't remember exactly how but am going to look at it once I get to the office

I think I read you buy it as a gift and then cancel your auto renewal and then use it when your renewal comes up

It won't work this time, they closed that loophole

The unfortunate catch here is that the deal is only for new members. In the past, there’s been a loophole to buy discounted Prime gift subscriptions, and then “gift” them to yourself when your own membership expired, but it seems like they’ve totally shut that down this time.

This sucks.

I just signed up for a free 30 day trial Sept. 18.( last Friday).

Now I'm not qualified for the discount .

Call Amazon customer support. There's a good chance if that is the truth they will extend the offer to you.

Thanks guys . Amazon Customer support was excellent.

She cancelled my account & I went online & ordered at the one day price. Grand total of 5 minutes maximum.

(I was leaning 80-90% keeping it for 1 year at least anyway so why not for $67).

Tech board once again

I've 'shaved the cord'( down to Cox economy package) & purchased 2 Roku 3 boxes several weeks ago thanks to the tech board.

Cut $72 a month from my TV only bill . From 119.97 to 47.98. I prefer streaming or ' on demand' TV anyway.

Learn so much here.

I finally took the Prime Plunge earlier this afternoon. Just too much of a deal to pass up. About to buy an Apple TV early next month and then a Fire Stick and may be closer to cord cutting myself...

I' m personally not impressed with prime shipping since the ' free shipping' isn't free & many things can be purchased from other buyers much cheaper or equal price online.

But overall with prime Video , music streaming ,kindle books, etc its a fairly good deal. Worth trying for a year at least.

I have not cut the cord( gone to economy TV) , but 'shaved ' it . I don't mind a basic cable package for 30ish dollars per month ,but $160 for cable I did NOT watch was ridiculous.

Some good information here on the TECH board when the posters don't get too technical & I have no clue what they are speaking of. XCMbc or Hd Homerun,etc....

I'm still trying to figure it out but Roku 3 is one of the greatest technologies I have been exposed to entertainment wise.
