Using Adobe Pro
Is it possible to convert a batch of files, retain the original source name for each file and automatically save to the source folder?
Google didn't help on this one. I see people asking without getting much of a response.

Not positive because we've been using Revu for a while but I would think you should have the option of naming in an import dialogue. Instead of combining/stapling outside of Adobe try creating a new pdf and import pages to see if you have an option for naming.

If you do the create pdf, and highlight all of the files, it will name them, but then you need to hit the save button for every file. So if I have 4000 files, I would have to save 4000 times.
Another problem is I need to convert msg files. I can do each one with right click convert but I can't batch convert them.
If I do the create pdf trick you mentioned, msg files aren't listed in the supporting file types.

I'm not sure where the naming comes into play (subject line maybe) but it sounds like you need to batch convert to pdf with a 3rd party convertor or outlook add-on then combine inside Adobe.
