I didn't see this posted. You can get a $6 credit for each chromecast you have set up. I used the link below but you should be able to do it on an android phone with the chromecast app in settings and offers. There's a few other offers on top of the credit.

Thanks. Easy to redeem too. Added on to the other $6 I've earned last month with Google opinion rewards.

So as part of this I also got 3 months of Google Play Music. Has anyone used it and Spotify? I currently use Spotify but I was trying out GPM last night I liked having all my iTunes music available to stream and the ability to go from audio to the music video with a single tap. What are some of your opinions on the pros and cons of each and why you use what you use?

I got 6 months of Google Play Music free with my Nexus 6. Love it, but it is a major data hog if you're streaming on wireless...even at the lowest quality setting.

Ok thanks I'll test it out with Spotify. I only have 5gb/month so this will be something I'll need to pay attention to.

ETA: Looks like GPM uses more data because you can't set it to a lower quality stream like you can with Spotify. I'll test and see if my usage will put me over my data limit but that's kind of a bummer that you can't change the quality.

as a musician I use Google Play music and dropped my Spotify sub. Google has been shown over and over again to be the best streaming service as far as "paying their fair share" to the music artist. I think in 2014 they paid out 3 to 4 times more to the artist per play than any other service.

They also have everything because of this, artist tend to keep their music on google play, because they are getting paid very well for it.

Yeah you can. Go into settings, scroll down to Streaming, and change the Mobile Network Stream Quality.

Thanks for the heads up on this.

I also got 3 months of unlimited GPM and a free copy of X-Men HD.

They are also offering something free from Epix and 3 free months of DramaFever, but I don't know what these are.

Nah. Wish I could, but coverage is apparently pretty spotty in my neck of the woods. Their website says only 2G is available in my zip code.
