2.4G &5G- Nighthawk Router

Im setting up my Nighthawk and was wondering what is the Tech Boards recommendations as to what devises are better suited on the different networks. I have a couple iphones/ipads, ATV4 streaming DTVN and other movies, Fire stick w/ kodi and a Tablo. Im thinking of sticking the phones/ipad on the 2.4 and the ATV4/fire stick on the 5.
My question is, is this a good setup or am I doing this all wrong? Does it really matter?

I have all my Firesticks, Rokus and my Surface Pro 4 on 5 GHz.
iPads, phones, extra computer, A/C thermostats, etc. are all on 2.4 GHz.
