65th minute sub today. Not bad. Really hope he gets called in for the WCQ. 2 months ago I would have called it premature. Today, I'm not so sure.

I used to doubt that as well, but after watching him today I think I've changed my mind. The kid doesn't look out of place with that Dortmund team when he steps on the field. We are so thin on the wing at this point I wouldn't mind seeing him with the full national team. He can come into camp and be behind Fab and I would be ok with it. He comes on and looks threatening. There was a moment where he took a nice first touch on a steal and then easily dribbled around the defender with a tight angle between the defender and the sideline, and there was an audible "ooooh" from the crowd. He was unlucky not to be in on goal after he drifted around a defender in the box, only to have the ground give out from underneath him. His technique is so, soooooo good. He is legit, and we should all be extremely thankful to have a kid like this in our pool.
8th youngest player to EVER debut in the Bundesliga. My German friend says that the German media is going nuts about him. That said, he obviously has a good head on his shoulders and has stayed humble. He's ignoring the attention and focusing only on the training pitch, which is the perfect attitude for a young player to have. Miazga says the same thing.
Even though the past year was a dumpster fire as far as the UMSNT is concerned, I'm super pumped for some of the talent we're starting to produce.

Both Wood and Johnson have scored today.

I watched the union Berlin Dortmund friendly yesterday and both Wood and Pulisic looked very good.

Pulisic is one I'm really excited about. If you look at the top 20 clubs in the world, he's the only American on the first team for any of them, much less getting minutes. And he's only 17
He's literally the best youth prospect at Borussia Dortmund, one of the top clubs in the world. Future is bright boys. Pulisic and Zelalem will be mid-field wizards when Qatar rolls around. Should be stacked at center half, just need to groom some fullbacks, forwards, and holding midfielders now

There is some debate about who is better, Pulisic or Passlack, who is the German u17 captain. I'm just thankful to have a player of his caliber. When you are the first sub off the bench against the 3rd team in the bund with the game tied 0-0, that says a lot.

He got subbed off at the half for Marco Reus. I missed it how did he do?

He did alright. It's been a very defensive game in general. Could have had an assist if Auba had finished his chance. Wasn't really all that involved. Could have done better on another attack in the box where his touch got away from him.

Whether that's good or not will depend on who the manager is next year. LVG at least plays a lot of young players. Don't think he'd sniff the field if Jose got the job.

Timothy Weah (George's son, US citizen) scored 5 goals a few weeks ago for the PSG youth squad against some poor team from Asia that conceded at least 12 goals
