Kreis played at Mandeville high but is originally from Omaha. Best guy born and raised here is Patrick Mullins I would assume.

there was a guy who used to post on here who probably takes the cake. his arguments would always devolve into how great he was at soccer and how his team got to state or something in the 90s, so he was right

Joe Lapira was pretty promising and even got an Irish cap, but then fell off the face of the planet.

Probably Kreis or Mullins.

Kreis

He is the only one that has gotten any run with the USMNT so it has to be him.

Was going to be my suggestion. But he's the only one I know.

Don;t know much about the LA soccer scene.

Has to be Kreis.

Who was the kid from Newman 01 or 02 that went on to play at Clemson?

Mullins will be on the USMNT eventually. He won the award for best college player 2 years in a row. He is one of 3 people to ever do that. When he was at Jesuit they had the best high school team in the nation and probably Louisiana high school history.

Meh... he's a middle-tier MLS guy at the moment. Can he do it? sure, but he was never part of the youth system so he has to have a Wondo or Buddle season to get a look.

Jason Garey, Lapira, and Mullins all won the NCAA player of the year award over the past 10 years. But I would have to say Kreis, (even though he was born in Omaha) he grew up playing in Louisiana.
