He repeatedly gets away with constant fights, scuffles and dives tarnishing the game. Recently in a fixture that ended 0 - 1 between Arsenal and Chelsea clear video footage shows the player cheating his way to get the opposition player sent off. This effected the game majorly and has happened to many teams on many occasions. This has happened to many times and it's time for a punishment to be handed out by the football association.

This sounds silly but I will sign it anyway. I fully support any and all measures to banish Diego Costa whether justified or not.

I love when Arsenal fans act like their players are all a bunch of noble heroes incapable of participating in any suspect behavior.

Okay he beat the guy to the ball. If he wouldn't have moved his ankle would be shattered. Was an absolutely retarded challenge and as a defender would agree with red being shown every single time. I do think costa is a pos, but in this rare occasion, that was indisputable red. frickin deal with it

To even argue that there wasn't a lot of contact is avoiding the main issue altogether. That's saying to be awarded a red the player should keep his leg there and ruin his career from a slide tackle. Great through ball, Costa was faster, poor challenge as the last defender. Red. Card.

It is a straight red no matter what. I didn't think so because Costa wasn't really even touched. It is the intent to stop the play. Mertesacker should have just let him go. Costa will score 8 out of 10 chances there, but Arsenal would still have had 11 on the pitch. Probably would have won the match with equal sides from that point.

If Diego Costa got injured on a horror challenge and couldn't play anymore, I'd buy that said rash challenger a beer.
