like who for example? seriously, I have no idea how to find out about younger players, I guess just watch the u-20 and u-18 WCs?

Hyndman, Zelalem, Carter-Vickers, Palmer-Brown, Canouse, Tall, Steffen, Miazga, Thompson, Jamieson IV, Yedlin, Pulisic, Brooks, Payne, Novakovich, Rubin, etc.

If half of these guys can pan out over the next 4-6 years, we can make some noise.

How many cycles have we been saying that now?

Since 20002?

I hope they prove me wrong i really do. I just hate losing the way the US did. How they play in the Confederations Cup play in game against Mexico in October. Until then I'll take the team whose home country takes the game more seriously and has a better tradition.

Over the last few cycles I can think of only about 4-5 players at a time (Gatt, Gyau, etc.), but never this many.

England's tradition really shined through at WC 10 and 14, didn't it?

Yes, it did, but still much better than the ours. Like I said I want us to finally turn that corner, and hope its soon. Made great strides in that direction in 2014, but took a bit of a step back in the Gold Cup. I really hope it was just a fluke and they beat the ever living piss out of Mexico, and regain momentum headed into the Olympics. We shall see.

Our senior team has nothing to do with the Olympics. Our U-23 and U-20 teams have plenty of momentum.

I don't really think you understand the international soccer scene at all.

Except we finally realized that we can just steal some prospects instead of using our inferior system to try and pump them out. Dual citizens, parentage...changed the game.

Outside of being fast they really don't have all that much in common

They're both English and played for Arsenal?

And black.

That is a lot.

You're thinking of Jack "better than Messi" Wilshere.

They're probably the class of the MLS academies.

LA Galaxy and NYRB are very strong too. RSL seems to do pretty well.

There are definitely 5 or 6 that seem to be a cut above the rest.

Atlanta has said that they want to have one of the best academies in the world. I hope they follow through with that.

If they can cherry pick the Concorde Fire and GA United squads as well as Southern Soccer Academny and take in Tophat for the girls side, they will be unreal on all fronts.
