Word is, is that it's a six month deal w/ 35/k a week salary. Not bad at all.

Used to be a wonderkid, but hasn't been all that amazing back in Brazil. Optimism, dread? How you guys feeling?

It's a risk worth taking. Works out well for both parties.

Chelsea are handcuffed. Most top players don't want to join a sinking ship. Also, even if you could persuade a top player to join for an outrageous sum of money, nobody wants to join when there's going to be a different manager in a few months. So Chelsea can't afford to be too picky. If Pato is decent enough to even play against a few poor teams on the schedule, he'll be a tremendous upgrade from Falcao and Remy, who is incapable of being onside.

Pato can't be too picky either if he wants to revive his career.

Would rather see the mins go to bamford or traroe, lost season anyway so why not kick the kids tires.

But pato is the classic low risk/high reward move, so whatever.

Do you really think Remy has been that bad? I think he's created great chances and has a lot of pace.

I don't really remember the last time Remy impressed me. He hasn't gotten much playing time and when he has he's constantly offside.

The Pato move doesn't impress me either way. It has potential, but I'm not expecting much. I'd prefer the minutes go to Traore personally.

If my team was getting Pato I would also say meh. He had great promise at one point, but is he better than Falcao at this point?

90% of the people on this board are more capable of producing than Falcao

Pato has played relatively well in Brazil for Sao Paulo.. while mainly playing on the wing, as Luis Fabiano was still the CF... He still has loads of pace and is a deadly finisher... he also hasn't had a major injury in 3 years back in Brazil...

Obviously the EPL is a big step up in leagues and the physicality, but on a loan for 1/2 season on peanut wages, its a chance I'd take...

He's played in 10 matches with 1 start and has one goal and zero assists.

I'm not convinced that'll happen, but I guess we'll know soon enough...

it was either that one or... "painted portraits of minions and slaves, crotch mavens and one night plays"
