Getting pelted with beer at game's end
Found these YouTube vids this morning, thought yall would find them interesting. The amount of police, and effort Mexico put into keeping our fans safe is impressive, hats off to them. I wish I could attend a game at Azteca, doubt I ever do though.

that's pretty fricking terrible that police in riot gear have to escort fans of a sporting event out the stadium. having said that

That is some serious police protection. The Messicans know they will have to play in an empty home stadium if there is an incident.

How many times has an American fan been injured at a game in Azteca? If it happened you would hear about it and I can't recall hearing about much happening other than being cursed at and having drinks thrown which occurs pretty much every weekend at SEC stadiums. Also, some the fans in that video were asking for it.

Those are awesome! As for the security, it's been a while since I've been to a Prem match in England, but there's always a huge police presence keeping fans separated and escorting away fans out of the ground. Props to the Mexican police for keeping our fans safe (if not dry.)
