Now that Chandler is out, Lichaj better get the call. You can't tell me with a straight face that Zusi is a better option there.

Will Gyasi Zardes will ever get back in the fold? I understand he was injured for a while but he's back now and considering the USMNT manager is his former club manager, you would think he would be discussed more.

Glad we're past the days of calling in NASL guys to show MLS who really runs the show.

I have zero complaints about this roster.

Honestly I would take him over Morris if we are going for the athletic forward with hustle type. Not a fan of either though

I appreciate having Morris, Bedoya, Zardes (even Zusi or Wondo) with the team because they WILL give 100% effort every minute they play.

That's more valuable than people realize.

I don't really care for Morris, and especially not for Zardes, but I have no problem with Bedoya.

Agreed. You see players like that on every winning team in the world. But there's definitely a threshold you don't want to cross where you look up and half your team are those kind of guys.

Out of that bunch, I will take Morris, Zardes, and Bedoya in their primes or approaching it rather than Zusi/Wondo.

I also think Morris is better than you guys are giving him credit. He has big shoulders and kind of a funny body type for a soccer player so it's easy to lump him in with other players that maybe don't play the same way he does. He's actually pretty skillful and scored some great goals last season. He's still very young too.

I think he pretty much made clear what he wants to do with his international future when he agreed to go to the U-20 World Cup as an American.

If Zardes had a decent first touch, he'd be a powerful weapon. He's big and fast, but damn he has a club foot, rendering him pretty much useless unless he has a ton of space, which is rare. I don't see him developing his touch at this point, so I'd rather him not be on the roster.

Rather call up one of the youth prospects than Zardes.

Oh no trust me I appreciate maximum effort players like that but like someone else said we shouldn't have too many of them on the field at once. Our teams have really always had that effort. Now we are getting more refined skill to go along with it

Before Zardes injury, his industry and athleticism was fairly useful for us. I think people forget that he had multiple assists and chances created in 2015. He doesn't play pretty, but he can be effective.
Morris needs to work on his left foot, but he also has value, especially let in games. His chemistry with Dempsey (and Roldan for the future) is an added plus.
What's great is that our team is improving to the point where these guys are on the fringe. Part of that is because we can put Fabian on the wing, but it's all due to more strikers playing well than we are used to having.

Many of those assists were by accident due to bad touches.

Zardes' pros are work-rate and versatility. He also makes really good off-ball runs, something two of the strikers we called up don't do (Jozy, Deuce).

His cons are kicking a soccer ball.

Still count the same. I'm not saying he should still be on rosters, he's fallen in the pool for sure. I'm just saying that I wouldn't be pissed if he got called in like some people
