Watching that play, Besler was pretty much running as fast as Joel Campbell, who has elite speed, the whole way.
It looked a lot worse than it was because Besler had horrible positioning on that play right from the get-go. He fell asleep and let Campbell get inside position on him, and he had no chance to cut off the angle. I chalk that goal up to bad positioning by Besler rather than lack of pace.
He's still one of the fastest guys we have in the back.

Is there a FIFA rule that a referee has to be El Salvadoran to work in the El Salvadoran domestic league?
Same for English dudes for Premier League games, Spanish for the Liga, etc. Is it up to the league or is it a FIFA thing?

That will at least hurt their wallets, if nothing else. Neither of them makes bank in club soccer, so the extra money they get playing for the national team helps a lot for these guys.
If it were up to me, El Salvador wouldn't be eligible to play in the next Gold Cup and Copa Centroamerica.

I don't think so. There are MLS referees not from the US or Canada, but most are.

Well, FS2 has monster trucks, so this meaningless inter-divisional regular season MLB game needs to hurry up and end.
