So a friend of mine and I are really into FIFA 10 but got kind of bored playing with the same teams. We basically did a draft and simply traded our picks to the US Club of our choice.

My team (Chicago Fire)4-4-2 formation

LS: Fernando Torres
RS: Ronaldo
LM: Fabregas
RM: Kaka
LCM: Lampard
RCM: Gerrard
LB: Dani Alves
LCB: John Terry
RCB: Sergio Ramos
RB: Michael Essien (He's an 87 defender, I love having him back here because he's awesome at defending in FIFA and he can score goals/make passes better than a typical defender.)
GK: Casillas

Reserves:
Drogba ST
Fabiano ST
Arshavin CF
Diego CAM
Pique CB(?)
Ze Roberto (CDM)

My friend has Messi, Ibra, Rooney, Ribery, Vidic, Puyol, Villa, Buffon, Robben, and some other studs but I can't think of them right now.

PROMPT:

If you could make an ultimate team, who would make your squad?

Prefer your squad to his, Messi is under-rated on fifa, you just can't do with him what he does so easily most week. Ibra/Drogba are probably the best strikers on the game, Lampard is ridiculously good.

Maybe something like (in a 433 like Barca's

Rooney-----Ibra-----Ronaldo

------Lampard--Cambiasso
-----------Essien

Cole--------------------Alvez
-------Lucio-Vidic

I agree about my team being better but Messi is still dangerous in FIFA. If Messi gets the ball with some space and he only has one to beat, then there's a pretty good chance that he will have a one on one with the keep.

Ibra and Drogba are just ridiculously strong in the game. I have Drogba on my bench but he comes in if I run anything like the formation you showed.

My team definitely has a better midfield and better strikers, but his defense is sick. Vidic and Puyol shut down the stronger players in the middle and he has speed on the outside with Cole and Evra. It's just hard for me to get behind them (with Ronaldo making runs) or through them (Drogba can tussle with most defenders in the game and win, but not typically against Vidic or Puyol).

Henry is washed up man. I'm a huge Barca fan and I'm ready for his arse to leave.

Put David Villa there and you'd have better results, especially if you are going for speed.

I like Essien at CDM.

I didn't know that you were talking about FIFA skill. Henry is definitely better in FIFA 10 than he is IRL. Same for Ronaldinho.

i play a 4-4-2 which is really more of a 4-1-2-1-2 (very close towards the middle...like brazil or real's formation but with a true CDM and 2 AM in the middle with a CAM feeding the 2 strikers who are almost on top of each other)

RB: maicon
CB: puyol
CB: ramos
LB: alves

RAM: kaka
CDM: essien
LAM: xavi

CAM: messi

LS: ronaldo
RS: torres

I can tell you're a Real fan. What do you think about them potentially signing Ribery or Silva?

I've heard Barça is going after Villa or Torres (Ibra + € would be involved for Torres) and either Fabregas, Ribery, or Silva at midfield.

Haha I just got presumptive because there are 4 Real players on his team. I figured Alonso and Ramos were reaches for non-Real fans

i meant xavi

ramos is listed at CB and on FIFA having his speed there is amazing for stopping through balls

my defense is at 10 pressure and i pretty much just lay back with my 2 CBs. having speedy CBs is crucial

I'll concede that. Ramos is legit, I'm just not sure if I'd consider him one of the best four defenders in the world.

And to SFP:

Xavi is without a question better than Xabi in real life, but I'd almost rather have Alonso in FIFA. I like having mids that I feel confident finishing with.
