MISSED

What else needs to happen to spark a fire under someone's arse? Germany did poorly in one tournament and then completely revamped their entire system from top to bottom and won a World Cup 10 years later.

U.S.? We're just gonna sit with our fingers in our asses and collect checks.

Pathetic. frick U.S. Soccer.

Yeah I was thinking earlier today about that time we blew that game against El Salvador and didn't qualify for the 2012 olympics.

You saw WP's tweet too? I replied under his picture of Gulati.

What a fricking joke this all is.

OMG

It's Trinidad! One ball doesn't dictate a match.

FYI-Tim Howard is devastated during his interview

Not to go full DS on here, but there's something to this.

US Soccer and MLS is stockpiling money, and little has changed in terms of USMNT quality since 2010.

Germany rebuilt everything and got the leagues involved.

Tiny Iceland went from the ground up to become a team that makes major tournaments because of how it developed its youth.

If the United States with all of its resources — yes, even in a sport that isn't one of its biggest — can't do that, this is a hopelessly corrupt system.

Boycott all levels of US Soccer until this idiot is out.

Save US Soccer.

People like Sunil and Joe Alleva succeed these days. It's taking me awhile to realize this, but the civilized world is managed by a bunch of pussies that won't have a frank conversation.

That's the generation that should be the backbone of our team right now.

Yeah, you either build a youth academy to meet certain criteria or you're kicked out of the league. Spend the money or get the frick.

Sadly, I think our millionaire owners will simply sit back and do nothing. No way they’ll agree to that sort of system when the current system “works” in their eyes.

It’s fricking tragic and honestly hurts my heart.

There are numerous models we could follow, but we won't do any, instead insisting on the pay to play model that will keep a large portion of the talent pool from ever receiving coaching. Pay to play has to end.
