I know I said I was waiting for a specific moment to launch this year's thread.....that moment is here with our newest signing!! We're shoring up the defense, hope they can turn to a few more needs and address them before the season kicks off! The new stadium is underway and the plans look amazing! Who's pumped?!?!?!?!

What a day! Shored up our back line, unveiled new stadium plans, and sealed the contract to bring NFL games to the grounds and the revenue/exposure that comes along with it. Future's looking bright.
Also saw a rumor linking us to Fernando Llorente. If we somehow landed him to go along with Kane up front...

Just read the article about Levy saying we will sign more players this window and it got me thinking...
*Warning off season speculation/discussion topic*
It is imperative that we load up this window... I hope Levy realizes this is a very important window and he HAS to dig deep in his pockets. Here is why, if we get players that fit Poch's system we should be in the mix for top 4. Another year with the same players and I think we should have a legitimate shot (talking 16-17 season now)... I think this will be about the time a certain someone will be looking to leave Spain and come back to England. IMO with the new stadium being close to completion and CL in 17-18, I think we have a better shot than any to bring our hero back home. This is why I think this window is extremely important for the club and I hope Levy realizes this and stops being so stingy. Like I said, just something I thought about immediately after reading that article (pretty much just thinking out loud and trying to pass the time). I know it will always be a long shot to get Bale back, but this could be the way to do it.

I'm not getting my hopes up... Just laying down a series of events that could lead to his return. It is Spurs after all, so I will always be gun shy.

I don't think we could ever afford Bale again. Unless he is willing to take a huge pay cut.
It isn't Levy's style to grab up already established talent. He is a business man through and through. He is looking to buy players with the potential to be worth at least twice as much when they are sold.
Although, if this did happen I would be happier than I don't know what. I was always a big fan of Gareth, and I remember telling my soccer friends to watch out for him. Then there was THAT season.

For me, a striker is top priority. Not really sure who's out there or who Poch may even want.
