That would be horrible, but I think we have him for at least this year maybe all of next year depending on his stats of course. A great campaign this year hopefully him and Eriksen stay for the long haul

I'd like to see it happen. But as I've said before, I'll believe it once the club announces it.
One of the rumors I've been following with a great deal of hope is regarding Memphis Depay. I really liked what I saw out of him during the World Cup.

I like Depay, but I also have not given up on Chadli just yet. He was better than Lamela last year (which didn't take much), but we all have a new hope in Lamela because of Poch. Maybe he can help Chadli as well.

If we are talking rumors I've seen Isco being loaned over from Madrid, Muchitto (sp) asking price going up to 50 mil because of a third party clause with his old club River Plate being owed up to 30% of his sale price. Also Depay being swapped for chadli plus 9 mil, Sandro to Napoli and last but not least the yedlin story.

It was late in the night didn't feel like looking up the spelling lol. I personally think we give chadli another campaign think he can be good with the new system teaming up top with ericksen and Lamela. Really hope we get Musacchio would help alot.

Also europa draw came out today and we have been paired with limassol FC I believe from Cyprus. Matches will begin for this round on the 21st of august

Really? Everything I saw had him finishing the season and then moving. So January makes sense - or even sooner. Of course, we'd have to see if he even gets reps with the squad or gets loaned out.

If he's not joining Spurs until January, I wonder where he's going until then. MLS's loan window closed a few days ago which should be the only way he'd be able to stay in Seattle while under contract with Tottenham. Now we all know that MLS rules are more like suggestions and are changed more frequently than I change my underwear, but I wonder if they are going to loan him out for the first half of the season. Walker is clearly the starter at RB and I don't see Yedlin displacing him right now. I personally think this is a terrible move for Yedlin but I'm sure Spurs were able to offer waaay more $$$ than Roma. If he's going on loan it may be ok, but I have a feeling he's going to be warming the bench for large stretches of the season. Roma has CL games, cups, and league games, AND an aging RB. He would have definitely gotten lots of minutes there, or for the first season on loan at Genoa which was the rumor I was reading.

Tottenham certainly has more money than Roma but I don't think Yedlin's meager transfer fee nor salary really amount to that much of a consideration for either club.
Roma buys quite a few younger players on similar transfers/wages every year. I imagine he went to Tottenham because it's a prestigious club in a country where people speak English.
I can't imagine that there was any real bidding competition at all between Roma and Tottenham but simply differing "recruiting" pitches.

Roma does have Maicon at RB but you may forget that his backup is Vasilis Torosidis, an excellent RB who was probably Greece's best player in their run out of the WC group stage. Yedlin wouldn't have seen a minute at Roma.

Something like this --- being loaned out for a couple of seasons to a smaller Serie A side like Genoa with a great track record developing young players was the path I hoped he'd take.
I hope he takes a similar path at Tottenham.
