Next years Europa winners get champions league I believe so I want 5th. I'm not giving up on 4th because I'm delusional but Sherwood's comments after the game were disappointing. Saying there are not enough characters at this club and some players I can count on, some I can't.

I don't mind losing but I want players that love the shirt and play their asses off every game.

That's true.....but I just don't see us being able to take Europa while still trying to compete in the league and the other domestic cups. I just don't want to rely on that. I'd rather see the focus squarely on attaining a top 4 finish. I'm tired of Europa. The players don't really give a shite about it. And our form has been subpar in matches following a Europa league match.

Luciano Spalletti is out at Zenit. . .

I've seen most of the rumors about the next Spurs manager focusing on Van Gaal or De Boer but you have to think Baldini would urge a careful consideration of Spalletti as well.

He'd be an excellent hire and I would prefer Spurs (or the Italian NT) get him instead of Inter.

I don't know much about the international football manager scene, but van Gaal is the possibility that has me most excited.

It looks like Ramsey will miss the game this weekend as well. Even though we have our own large list of injuries everything helps.

Hopefully the boys come out flying tomorrow and that carries over to the NLD

You're telling me an interim manager with no top flight experience isn't having great success? I'm shocked!

Neither of those coaches are the answer but the real problem is player evaluation and bringing in people that fit your philosophy.

Btw, Spurs are slow especially the defense.

I've never seen a team do so little with so much possession. They just pass the ball sideways around the box and then eventually lose it giving the other team a counter attack. Almost no one makes runs.

Set piece defending is terrible too. I just want them to go back to the exciting football they used to play with quick passes and movement that could break down defenses. It left us vulnerable but at least it was entertaining to watch.

Worth noting that graphic is taking all competitions into consideration. Sherwood is doing much better than AVB in the league.

This team is maddening. No one has an attacking mentality. Once the ball is any where box they always play it back. And the defense sucks. I feel better now.
