* The US has now won nine straight games against Cuba, outscoring them 35-5 during the nine-game stretch.
* The six-goal victory is the largest by the US in Gold Cup history and the largest in any game since a 6-0 victory over Guatemala on July 5, 2013. It was also the seventh win by 6+ goals for the US in team history.
* The US scored four goals in a first half for the first time since scoring four goals on their way to a 7-0 win over El Salvador on December 5, 1993.
* The US had four different goal scorers in the first half, the first time that has ever happened in a Gold Cup match.
* Clint Dempsey recorded the fourth hat trick by a US player in the Gold Cup, joining the likes of Brian McBride (2002), Landon Donovan (2003) and Chris Wondolowski (2013).
* Clint Dempsey’s 11 career Gold Cup goals are tied with Panama’s Blas Perez for the third most in Gold Cup history. Only Landon Donovan (18) and Mexico’s Luis Roberto Alves (12) have scored more.
* Clint Dempsey’s six goals in this year’s Gold Cup are the most by any US player in any single Gold Cup tournament. Only Mexico’s Luis Roberto Alves (11 goals in 1993) and Javier Hernández (seven goals in 2011) have scored more in a single tournament.
* Clint Dempsey is just the sixth player in Gold Cup history to record multiple 2-goal games in a single tournament, joining Chris Wondolowski (2013) as the only other American to pull off the feat.
* Clint Dempsey’s goal in the fourth minute is the third fastest by any player in a Gold Cup knockout stage game.
* Going back to 2012, Clint Dempsey has scored 23 goals in his last 35 US matches. The most goals by any US player over a four-year span is Landon Donovan with 24 (2002-2005).
* Clint Dempsey now has 42 non-penalty goals, tying Landon Donovan for the most in US history.

Do remember - dominating a Gold Cup is child's play and any player above Special Olympics level would be just as dominant.

Well it shouldn't be every two years

It's going to be fun when the Donovan shite gets brought back up in about 5 months when Deuce approaches the goals record.

Sorry. I just don't like his style of play. And a hat-trick against Cuba isn't going to impress me much.

He's got the moves, but does he have the touch?

That was my first thought too.

One of these things is not like the other
One of these things doesn't belong
