I wouldn't say "by far", I think your prejudice is skewed because S is a decent human rooting for Leeds (gos bless his soul) and Bhoy is awful.

When you say worst do you mean ones that might tune you up a bit, or worst as in they don't really care?

And why are Celtic fans the worst?

Because they're ginger and have no souls.

Can someone point me in the direction of learning material on Celtic/rangers hate?

Not sure what you mean? Celtic and Rangers are a very bitter, old rivalry. So that hatred is deep.

The problem with fans of Celtic is that they are all horribly deluded.

The problem with Leeds fans is they think they are owed something for being good over ten years ago before their financial collapse.

Celtic and Leeds are two of the most hated football clubs in all of GB.

Yeah, I'm looking for a documentary or great book on the hatred & rivalry between Celtic and rangers, with all of the brilliant skirmishes on and off pitch throughout the years.

This is the best you'll find. Politics have a lot to do with the rivalry, which is something you will find throughout Europe as well. This documentary is my favorite when it comes to soccer.

Well that and the fact that Celtic FC is historically a Catholic men's club, while Rangers FC is historically a Protestant men's club.

And didn't a Celtic goalie almost incite a riot by doing a sign of the cross with his hand several years back during a match?

Why would that almost incite a riot?

Not sure, but I'm guessing the whole Protestant v. Catholic angle. I'm pretty sure I'm not making that up and in fact read about it or saw a news story about it. Who knows. My mind ain't quite the same.

I just don't understand that. A cross is a symbol for both.

Doing the "sign of the cross" is a Catholic thing. And the hatred between these clubs stems primarily through their religious backgrounds.

But it should be said, frick the Irish Catholics. Those bastards are fricking off their rockers.

Good point. I think we certainly have prejudices on teams based on posters, especially if they are a fan of a club with a smaller following on here. We hate Celtic, we mostly like Leeds because of S, and I think we have a strange attachment to Roma because of Bradley's stint and wm72.

This is very true. I couldn't care less about Celtic before I became a poster here. Now... well you all know how we feel, and why.

I actually know a bit about Catholic and Protestants. Both are part of the same religion (Christianity). I grew up in a Protestant church, but one of my best friends is Catholic.

Doing the cross what ever thing with your hand is a Catholic/Orthodox practice

doing so in an Old Firm is just asking for it.

Well there goes any "cool points" I still had for the rivalry.
