the next few months are going to be rough, and watching the World Cup without the US for the first time in my life is going to be a soul sucking experience. Just looking to commiserate with my baws of the SB

The fact I'll be damn near 30 the next time I get to see the USA in the world cup crushes my soul.

I'm sick of the excuses from this squad. Taylor Twellman said it best. We don't even have our younger teams qualifying for the Olympics for crying out loud. Until we continue to be complacent with our lackluster performances and lack of development with our younger players, this nonsense will continue.

Oh well. Go Iceland!

I'm really gonna miss the watch parties. No one's really gonna show up around here to watch someone other than the USMNT.

So that means I'll be watching it in my apartment, alone, sharing with the misery on here.

That hit me late last night. It sucks.

I legit had nightmares last night. They weren't about the game or missing the WC, but I know it triggered them still

This is how I felt after 1/9/12 (for non-LSU fans, that was the national title game where Bama ruined our amazing season with an embarrassing beatdown and sent us spiraling into mediocrity), but having to wait until 2022 to watch us play in the World Cup again is way worse.

I don't want to accept it. I just feel numb and bitter inside. It's gonna feel even worse in June when the tournament starts and we're not playing in it.

Terrible sadness last nite. I started compulsively cleaning to keep my mind off things.

Woke up angry this morning. Watched twellmans rant a couple times more. Listened bob ley. Total Soccers take. Snapped at my gf, for which ill need to apologize in a couple hrs.

Only a few more stages to go.

I feel embarrassed, let down, sad, angry, frustrated. There hasn't been a World Cup with no USMNT since I've been born.

This hurts more than Notre Dame losing to Bama in 2012. This was OUR game. We are the US, we qualify out of CONCACAF.

I've seen better back line play on my kid's teams. Pathetic.

Honestly, my interest in sports has been slowly waning over the past few years and I think last night was an accelerate. Lsu being terrible and having a "gumbo gumbo football gumbo" lookin arse coach is not helping. At least I'll still have Lebron for a few more years.

Are you a fellow Palace fan?

This year has been brutal for professional teams I support, not to mention losing the national championship at the last second. Without really thinking about it, I’m in all black/gray today like I’m at a funeral. I posted it last night, but this loss was more painful than any I’ve experienced as a fan (or player). It’s worse than the kick-six, Cam back, making the last out of the season in 10 year old all-stars on a check swing, watching a future pro leg out an infield single that scored a go ahead run to knock us out of the state tournament, everything just seems hollow. I hate it for Pulisic especially. He is a fighter and the best thing American Soccer has ever encountered, and he’s missing out on a World Cup because our “leaders” felt they could just show up and get a result.
