Sanchez Makes Strike Decision

Yes, I think keeping him would be the best decision, barring an unreal offer.

And I have no doubt he will play well and help Arsenal win.

Nothing will please me more than when Arsenal finishes top 4 and City doesn't. Pep leaves for greener pastures, and Alexi resigns.

It's happening.

Hope kolasnic was just having fitness issues. Saw him with his hands on knees a couple of times. But if not, he was awful, couldn't pass worth shite. Monreal is probably going to need to man left wing back. Which is fine, I think we have some solid cb to throw in there.

Just read the previous page. Food poisoning would explain playing like shite.

Hmmm.

Don't know if 70M to PSG qualifies as "unreal," but a tidy sum and he's shipped out of the PL to boot.

I don't blame the club for refusing Alexis's 400K a week demand.

So yes, I'm still for keeping him this season, but I'd be okay if that PSG deal materializes.

Has Rob Holding or Mustafi seen the pitch at all this preseason?

We have looked so bad defensively this half.

Geezus. This is the old Arsenal we all know and love. I know it's preseason but damn.

ah yes, it's that time of year again :)

But seriously, I think we'll be a lot better without AMN as a CB. Getting Kos, Holding, Mustafi, Gabriel & (hopefully) Chambers back will be huge.

Oh well, it's just preseason. Just trying to get guys fit again

Wish we had our normal defenders .... Niles isn't doing that well and Bramall has been very poor we look flat.

Sanchez and PSG agreed to a 4 yr deal paying him 275k a week. Don't know how PSG would be able to afford both him and Neymar. I guess we'll see what happens.

Wenger talking about keeping Sanchez. LINK

quote:

Full text: on if he thinks Alexis is in Paris… No, I don’t think so.

on the French media claiming Alexis has been in Paris… I read L’Equipe in the last three or four days. It has moved from Sanchez to Neymar. Today they speak about Neymar, three days ago they speak about Alexis. They need as well, like you [reporters], subjects.

on PSG surely not being able to sign Neymar and Alexis…
No. They cannot get Sanchez so they go for Neymar.

on if he’s adamant that Alexis will be an Arsenal player on August 31 and if his mind could change… No, my mind has been made up for a while now. on if he needs to make that stance… I think I made it clear a few times.

on whether Alexis has specifically asked to leave Arsenal…
No.

on the club being in a different situation to 2011 or 2012…
We are in a strong financial situation. So we want to keep our best players. You can see that there is a fight everywhere to get top players.

on whether he expects to move any players on - such as Kieran Gibbs…
There are talks, yes. There is contact but we are not close.

Any new news?

Apparently we're "close" to Lemar, Jack is being bid on by Italian teams and Elneny might be going to turkey.
Also talks of both Alexis and Özil signing new deals this year
