Welcome to the biggest night of the TigerDroppings calendar, the 2016 2 Chainz Tru arse, No Lie Soccer Board Awards, brought to you by Champs Sports.

The stars are out in full force between the world's best players and the Internet's best soccer fans. The attire for the evening is... well, lacking in some areas. But what else did you expect?

Let's get right to the action tonight with all the Soccer Awards. Thanks to all who voted, as we had the biggest turnout of all-time. (Don't get carried away though, this is only the second time I've ever bothered to do this.)

Here they are, starting with the grandaddy of them all...

The winner for Best Team is... Real Madrid.

quote:

Real Madrid: 35%
FC Barcelona: 30%
Leicester City: 17.5%
Atletico Madrid: 15%
Dynamo Kyiv: 2.5%

Accepting this award on behalf of Real Madrid are midfielders Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

[Ronaldo and Bale each try to take the trophy from the presenter at the same time. Bale finally gets control of it, and Ronaldo dives onto the stage floor, clutching his knee. He also takes off his shirt for some reason.]

Up next, Most Entertaining Team. And 2 Chainz Soccer Board Award goes to... Leicester City.

quote:

Leicester City: 52.5%
Borussia Dortmund: 27.5%
Real Madrid: 15%
AS Roma: 5%
West Ham United: 0%

Accepting this award for Leicester City is forward Jamie Vardy.

[Vardy, clearly hammered, starts his acceptance speech, but things quickly get racially charged. Security tackles him before he starts to sing a song he wrote about Asians.]

And now we go to the Most Underrated Team award. The winner is... Atletico Madrid.

quote:

Atletico Madrid: 32.5%
West Ham United: 22.5%
Villarreal: 20%
Leicester City: 15%
FC Dallas: 7.5%
FC Astana: 2.5%

Accepting this award on behalf of Atletico Madrid is Soccer Board poster Caplewood.

[Caplewood accepts the award and holds his high in the air, screaming "frick Barthelona!" before leading the audience in Iceland's Viking clap celebration.

And now, Most Disappointing Team. And the winner, in an absolute landslide, is... Chelsea.

quote:

Chelsea: 55%
Arsenal and Everton: 10%
Aston Villa, Manchester City, Manchester United and Zenit: 5%
Newcastle United and Wolfsburg: 2.5%
Olympique Marseille: 0%

Accepting this award for Chelsea is... no one. It will probably rust up here on stage.

[close-up shot of a sad trophy]

We now move on to the Match of the Season award, which goes to... Liverpool 4, Borussia Dortmund 3 in the Europa League.

quote:

Liverpool 4, Borussia Dortmund 3: 42.5%
Atletico Madrid 2, Barcelona 0: 27.5%
Chelsea 2, Tottenham 2: 22.5%
Newcastle United 5, Tottenham 1: 5%
Malmo 2, Celtic 0: 2.5%

Accepting this award for Liverpool is manager Jurgen Klopp.

[Klopp storms the stage and grabs the microphone like a mad man, giving that serial killer smile as he rambles in half-English and half-German about gegenpressing and walking alone and all that.]

Now we go to Manager of the Season, and that will go to who else but... Claudio Ranieri.

quote:

Claudio Ranieri: 82.5%
Diego Simeone: 12.5%
Thomas Tuechel: 5%
Luciano Spalletti: 0%

[Ranieri somehow finds a way to get Klopp off the stage to accept his award, which he does with modesty, a brief pushing of his glasses up on his nose, and a blistering counter-attack.]

Now let's turn it to Goal of the Season. And the winner is... Jamie Vardy vs. Liverpool.

quote:

Jamie Vardy vs. Liverpool: 40%
Xherdan Shaqiri vs. Poland: 17.5%
Dele Alli vs. Crystal Palace and Eden Hazard vs. Tottenham: 10%
Alessandro Florenzi vs. FC Barcelona and Saul vs. Bayern Munich: 7.5%
Neymar vs. Villarreal: 5%
Blas Perez vs. Chicago Fire: 2.5%
Luis Suarez vs. Arsenal and Maxi Urruti vs. San Jose Earthquakes: 0%

[Vardy tries to get back on stage while screaming all manner of racial slurs, but he is restrained. The award is tossed down to him, and he somehow volleys it all the way across the venue.]

Now we transition back to the player awards, starting with Best Overall Player. And the winner is... Cristiano Ronaldo.

quote:

Cristiano Ronaldo: 67.5%
N'Golo Kante: 15%
Luka Modric: 12.5%
David Alaba: 5%
Paulo Dybala: 0%

[Ronaldo, still shirtless, miraculously is able to sprint his way onto the stage and flex as he receives the award. Many Soccer Board posters faint.]

Up next, the Most Entertaining Player. The 2 Chainz Soccer Board Award goes to... Riyad Mahrez.

quote:

Riyad Mahrez: 32.5%
Lionel Messi: 25%
Dmitri Payet and Jamie Vardy: 10%
Cristiano Ronaldo: 7.5%
Benny Feilhaber and Hulk: 5%
Thomas Muller and Sergio Ramos: 2.5%
Arturo Vidal: 0%

[Mahrez steps to the podium and gives a lovely acceptance speech. Teammate Jamie Vardy, from the back, screams there wasn't enough (CENSORED) in it.

Now we go to the Most Underrated Player award, which was won by... in a tight race... Miralem Pjanic.

quote:

Miralem Pjanic: 27.78%
Dmitri Payet: 22.22%
Keylor Navas: 19.44%
Sacha Kljestan: 13.89%
Hakan Calhanoglu: 11.11%
Tommy McNamara: 5.56%
Quincy Promes: 0%

[As Pjanic makes his way to the stage for the award, wm72 is shown in the crowd lighting celebratory flares.]

Up next, we have the Most Disappointing Player award, which was won in another landslide by... Chelsea's own Eden Hazard.

quote:

Eden Hazard: 72.22%
Radamel Falcao: 19.44%
Ventura Alvarado, Timmy Chandler and Michael Orozco: 2.78%
Edin Dzeko: 0%

[The presenter puts the award next to Chelsea's most disappointing team award. The sad music from Charlie Brown's Christmas special plays.]

Now we have the Best Transfer of the Season, which goes to... N'Golo Kante to Leicester City.

quote:

N'Golo Kante to Leicester City: 50%
Kevin de Bruyne to Manchester City: 16.67%
Javier Hernandez to Bayer Leverkusen: 11.11%
Dmitri Payet to West Ham United: 8.33%
Paulo Dybala to Juventus: 5.56%
Douglas Costa to Bayern Munich, Kingsley Coman to Bayern Munich and Anthony Martial to Manchester United: 2.78%
Toby Alderweireld to Tottenham and Jermaine Jones to Colorado Rapids: 0%

[As Kante goes to the stage to accept his award, Chelsea fans start claiming this award as their own. Everyone else points at the two sad trophies on stage.]

On the flip side, let's go now to Worst Transfer of the Season, which goes to... Radamel Falcao to Chelsea.

quote:

Radamel Falcao to Chelsea: 33.33%
Raheem Sterling to Manchester City: 27.78%
Memphis Depay to Manchester United: 22.22%
Christian Benteke to Liverpool: 11.11%
Jackson Martinez to Atletico Madrid: 5.56%

[Strangely enough, Chelsea fans go silent again.]

Up next, Best Player Not Yet at a Big Club, which goes to... Julian Draxler in an upset!

quote:

Julian Draxler: 27.78%
Dele Alli: 25%
Alexandre Lacazette: 22.22%
Mesut Ozil: 16.67%
Leroy Sane: 8.33%
Toby Alderweireld, Ahmed Musa and Youri Tielemans: 0%

[The room groans, because we all thought Dele Alli was going to take this.]

Up next, Best U-21 Player. And the winner is... Christian Pulisic!

quote:

Christian Pulisic: 22.22%
Hector Bellerin: 19.44%
Anthony Martial and Renato Sanches: 16.67%
Kingsley Coman: 11.11%
Leroy Sane: 8.33%
Saul and Oleksandr Zinchenko: 2.78%
Mahmoud Dahoud and Marcus Rashford: 0%
Toby Alderweireld, Ahmed Musa and Youri Tielemans: 0%

[A massive "U-S-A! U-S-A! chant breaks out throughout the venue. Lionel Messi stands, points to Pulisic on stage and says, "I want to be the next Christian Pulisic."]

Now we pick the best of the best for each position. First, between the sticks, Best Goalkeeper. The 2 Chainz Soccer Board winner is... David De Gea.

quote:

David De Gea: 38.89%
Manuel Neuer: 36.11%
Anthony Martial and Renato Sanches: 16.67
Jan Oblak: 13.89%
Kasper Schmeichel: 5.56%
Igor Akinfeev and Joe Hart: 2.78%

[As De Gea goes to the stage to accept his award, Real Madrid's management try to kidnap him. Their plans are thwarted by StraightCashHomey21, who throws a faulty fax machine at them.]

Now, Best Defender. And the winner is... Leonardo Bonucci.

quote:

Leonardo Bonucci: 25%
Giorgio Chiellini and Diego Godin: 22.22%
Jerome Boateng: 13.89%
Mats Hummels and Filipe Luis: 8.33%
Patrice Evra: 0%

[I have no material for a Bonucci win. Just give him the award and move on.]

Next, Best Midfielder. And the winner is... Riyad Mahrez. Come back up here, Riyad.

quote:

Riyad Mahrez: 27.78%
Luka Modric: 25%
N'Golo Kante and Toni Kroos: 13.89%
Mesut Ozil: 11.11%
Paul Pogba: 8.33%

[Everyone stands and applauds again, except for MLSter, who keeps saying he's not good at all. No one cares, buddy.]

Finally, we wrap up the Soccer Awards with Best Forward. The winner is... Luis Suarez.

quote:

Luis Suarez: 31.58%
Antoine Griezmann and Cristiano Ronaldo: 21.05%
Sergio Aguero and Robert Lewandowski: 10.53%
Gonzalo Higuain: 5.26%

[Suarez comes to the stage showing all his razor-sharp teeth. The presenters don't want to get too close to him. Suarez starts sniffing around for blood after receiving the award. He lunges at a presenter. Everyone screams. The venue has to be evacuated.]

The Board Awards are scheduled for tomorrow evening. Be there, and good luck trying to run from Suarez on your way home.

Welcome back to the 2016 2 Chainz Soccer Board Awards Show, presented by Champs Sports.

Tonight, we get to the poster circle jerk that everyone's been promised... the Board Awards. These celebrate the Soccer Board members, memes and moments that keep this place going... at least until someone does something insanely stupid and gets this place shut down.

We kick off tonight's show with the MLS All-Star, which is given to the best all-around poster on the SB. And the winner is... WarSlamEagle. Yes, let's get this night started by showing everyone this is a clearly rigged contest, much like the actual FIFA election.

[I have no idea why my avi is so large. I am the worst.]

quote:

WarSlamEagle: 31.58%
BraveTiger225: 21.05%
S: 18.42%
hendersonshands: 13.16%
wm72: 10.53%
BlueMoon: 5.26%

Accepting this award on behalf of WSE, who is sitting in the production truck for tonight's show, is Shinji Kagawa.

[Kagawa walks up to the stage as WSE plays a 35-minute-long highlights video of the Borussia Dortmund star-turned Manchester United ghost-turned Borussia Dortmund star again's career. The power has clearly gone to his head.]

Now that all that nonsense is over, let's get down to the most hotly contested award of the evening... the Aston Villa, which goes to the worst all-around poster. And the winner is... EastNastySwag.

quote:

EastNastySwag: 39.47%
SirWinston: 26.32%
Mr. Personality: 18.42%
SlowEasyConfident: 15.79%

Up next, we go to the Wenger Award, which goes to the most intelligent poster. And the winner... or should I say, winners... with a tie at 34.21 percent of the vote apiece are crazy4lsu and wm72!

quote:

[b]crazy4lsu and wm72: 34.21%

hendersonshands: 13.16%
Mr. Personality: 7.89%
McCaigBro69 and WarSlamEagle: 5.26%

[crazy4lsu and wm72 each head to the stage wearing scholarly glasses and holding a pipe in one hand. In the other hand, wm72 has lit another celebratory flare. In the back, McCaig wonders aloud why he didn't win this award.]

Now we go to the Mourinho Award, which goes to the most entertaining poster on the board. And the winner of the 2 Chainz Award is... the Godfather himself, S!

quote:

S: 55.26%
Mr. Personality: 31.58%
Dandy Lion: 13.16%

[S strolls up to the stage to receive his award as the camera cuts to Quin Snyder giving him an intense standing ovation.]

Now let's turn our attention to the Donovan, which goes to the most-liked poster on the Soccer Board. And the winner is... glassman.

quote:

glassman: 36.84%
S: 28.95%
BraveTiger225: 26.32%
Mr. Personality: 7.89%

[Everyone in the crowd raises a glass in celebration as glassman receives his award. Gmo or whatever his username is now has to be restrained by security, as he tried to storm the stage screaming, "YOU BOUGHT ALL THOSE VOTES AGAINNNNNNNN!"]

Completely changing gears here, let's head over to the other side for the Marquez, which is given to the least-liked poster. And the winner is... oh, folks, you can't go wrong with a classic... TN Bhoy!

quote:

TN Bhoy: 42.11%
EastNastySwag: 31.58%
SirWinston: 15.79%
Mr. Personality: 10.53%

[The award lies motionless on the podium because I believe TN Bhoy got himself banned again. He hasn't posted anywhere since the 14th, and his profile isn't showing an avi or a sig. CLASSIC BHOY.]

Up next, the Mata, which goes to the best and most-liked poster from a rival club. Lot of choices here, but the winner is... StraightCashHomey21.

quote:

StraightCashHomey21: 28.95%
WarSlamEagle: 26.32%
Caplewood and cwill177: 13.16%
jackwoods4: 10.53%
Dandy Lion: 7.89%

[SCH goes to the podium and pulls out a giant stack of papers for his award speech, in which he attacks Manchester City's home attendance, the declining quality of the Soccer Board, the lack of quality in MLS, the Daily Mail, people who don't use his British stream suggestions, Red Bull Leipzig and many more. He then does a DX crotch chop toward WSE's general direction.]

Our next award is the Leicester, which goes to the best new poster on the Soccer Board. The winner is... John Keating!

quote:

John Keating: 57.89%
Mr. Personality: 36.84%
Piscinin: 5.26%

[As John comes toward the stage to accept his award, Mr. Personality comes barreling down the aisle in a Russian tank. Mr. P, draped in the flag of the Mother Land, will attempt to claim this award for himself by aggressive military force.]

Our next award is near and dear to the hearts of many old-school posters... the Leeds. This won't go to S, but rather the poster that we want to make a comeback on this board. The winner is... Leauxgan, as expected.

quote:

Leauxgan: 62.16%
Friend of OBUDan: 37.84%

[Leauxgan is not present for the event, of course, but he sent his acceptance speech in a breathtaking and even sensual Instagram video.]

On that note, we turn to the StuBear award, which is given to the poster the board has a man crush on or bromance with, whichever term you prefer. And the winner is... S!

quote:

S: 59.46%
Caplewood: 16.22%
McCaigBro69: 10.81%
theOG: 8.11%
Tweezy: 5.41%

[S goes up to receive his second award of the evening now wearing nothing but a Leeds United Ross McCormack jersey. The room can barely contain itself.]

Now we go to the Finn, which is given to the poster the board most wants to meet IRL. The winner is... hendersonshands!

quote:

hendersonshands: 29.73%
StraightCashHomey21: 21.62%
Dandy Lion, S and wm72: 10.81%
thenry712: 8.11%
Mr. Personality: 5.41%
Caplewood: 2.7%

[Hendo uses his time at the podium to tell everyone that they voted wrongly in every award except for this one. He then announces what he will be snacking on later this evening.]

As we come toward a close, let's go to the Dos a Cero award, which is given in honor of the board's moment of the year. This year's winner is... Spurs' capitulation.

quote:

Spurs' capitulation: 45.95%
Chile 7, Mexico 0: 24.32%
Any time the USMNT starting XI is announced: 16.22%
Leicester City wins the Premier League: 10.81%
Darlington Nagbe to Christian Pulisic: 2.7%: 2.7%

[A highlight reel of Tottenham's last-season collapse in the Premier League plays. No highlights of the last edition's winner, the Suicide Porn Bomber, made the cut.]

Up next we have the Derby award, which goes to the best rivalry between posters. And the winners are... hold on, we have another tie... Almost Everybody vs. Draconian Sanctions and McCaigBro69 vs. StraightCashHomey21!

quote:

Almost Everybody vs. Draconian Sanctions and McCaigBro69 vs. StraightCashHomey21: 32.43%
Almost Everybody vs. EastNastySwag: 18.92%
TN Bhoy vs. StraightCashHomey21: 10.81%
Manchester City fans vs. StraightCashHomey21: 5.41%

[McCaigBro69 and StraightCashHomey21 brawl on the stage while everyone looks around for Draconian Sanctions, waiting to jump him. He hasn't posted since July 1, and he might be banned as well. Who knows, really?]

And last but certainly not least, we have the van Gaal award, which is in honor of the best quote of the season. This is a new award, and a great one. The final winner of this year's 2 Chainz Soccer Board Awards is... SwaggerCopter, for his "Countless managers" post!

quote:

"Countless managers" by SwaggerCopter: 54.05%
"Thanks for playing, Iceland" by SlowEasyConfident: 27.03%
"Lifelong Red Bull Leipzig fans check in here" by Mr. Personality: 18.92%

[Confetti rains down on everyone as a massive memorial with SwaggerCopter's quote chiseled into it is rolled onto the stage. No one's forgetting this one, man.]

Thanks to all who voted and attended this year's 2 Chainz Soccer Board Awards. Special thanks to S for being the brainchild of many of these Board Awards, and to everyone on the SB for making this one of the best communities on the Internet—even though SCH will scream about how much better it used to be.

Drive home safely and enjoy the after party. I'm pretty sure we cleaned up most of Jamie Vardy's vomit.

This is Jack reporting live from tOfficial Jamie Vardy After-Party:

An unnamed Soccer Board member is having to be restrained as he charges at a shirtless Cristiano Ronaldo. One party goer spilled a touch of beer on his sleeve, and Ronaldo was kind enough to offer his own shirt as a replacement. The sight of a half-clothed, fully-flexing Ronaldo was just too much for this individual.

Meanwhile, It appears a "Tired" Raheem Sterling is being serenaded to sleep in a corner booth by Andrea Bocelli.

ETA: Looks like Christian Pulisic somehow managed to get a wristband.

used to do something like this for a weekly after-bar Blades of Steel league. fake-ish post-match reports on myspace was probably some of the best writing ive ever done.
