After a successful fifth season won by Wait for it, we are returning for year six. Here are last year's owners in order of the standings:

Wait for It... IN
Vicks Kennel Club IN
Col Reb is my mascot OUT
Tigerstark IN
The Mick IN
Jackwoods4 IN
WarSlamEagle IN
etm512 IN
BleedPurpleGold IN
GeauxColonels IN

tGOATpionship survivors who played out all 36 weeks for an entire 10-team league:

DB10_AFC IN
arse IN

Past champions:

2016: Wait for it...
2015: The Mick
2014: rdw1690
2013: The Mick
2012: DB10_AFC

This year's randomly generated draft order:

Tigerstark and I will be joining forces to create the first true United club in league history. We will have a new thread for the draft that begins as early as Thursday, July 27th. I will need to create a new league site for this season and start a separate thread.

Also, are there any rule changes that need to be considered? I cannot seem to remember, but I feel like we thought of one last season.

Take a look at the rules here.

I think 12 teams would force us to change a few things. For example we would have to keep 15 players instead of keeping 16 after the fall supplemental draft because it would leave virtually no one left on waivers.

Co-managers would be the way to go. I don't want someone who has been in the league to drop out if they want play.

The striker pool is already too thin. It would lower scoring. We have to see if there are any willing co-managers. I would do it if needed.

Yeah... I'd rather keep things at 10, maybe make the bottom teams in the league from last year be co-managers in order to make room for the promoted ones.

That may be the most fair. Db10 is the Leeds of this league. He won the inaugural season and dropped out after a couple years.

I've started making my excel document of player rankings, and I just don't see how you could do 12 teams. You could maybe stretch it to 11 (if that was actually a possibility with scheduling) with the current player pool, but it would be slim pickings at the end of the draft.

I like the idea of having one co-managed team so everybody gets to participate, but how would this work? I feel like it would be a nightmare.

Idk, it would probably be best with two long time owners.

I play in a few of the better leagues on the fantasy board. In one league, two owners share a dynasty baseball team.

It could also be a lot more fun. You could chat or text about players you are targeting.

That would be BPG and GC in this scenario, right? I'm here for that.

I think Mick, those two, and myself are all original owners. (You can always consult the league history in the league site to be sure).

GMorgan was always a great participant, but he changed his username or something. No idea who he is now.

For this weekend, we just need Mick to check in, settle on an ownership solution, and confirm the rules are good to go. As of now, I may lean towards the new guys as co-managers, but not sure yet. Please step up if you want to co-manage or anyone's team you want to join. I might do it tbh

Just a thought so feel free to shoot it down - I see that Togga offers draft leagues. Would this be something that we could do to relieve the commissioners burden? Also it would make keeping track of free agents a shite load easier

The Premier League site is adding a Draft version this year. However, we would lose roster flexibility.

Togga scoring is very different, correct?

Yes very. I played only a few weeks last season. Their scoring tries to even it out to where the best defenders score as much as the best forwards and MFs

I'm sort of old fashioned. I kind of like the old format. It's fun. Plus you have to post your lineup weekly and add up your own score. You have to post your transfers in here. It just keeps everyone more active, I think.

100% agree. It is a throwback to the early days of fantasy sports where everything was hand calculated.

It is pretty cool to have our own site and manage it ourselves. Upkeep is very easy as well.

I'm not really interested in co-managing. Just don't think I'd enjoy that. Seems kind of hectic.

I can fall on the sword to restore order. Just keep me in mind for next year.

You don't have to. I am willing to co-manage. We can have a new owner co-manage or if anyone volunteers.

Plus, Mick still has to check in.
