Llorente looked really sharp by all accounts in yesterday's friendly. Said his hold up play excellent. Allowed our wingers to do what they do best

And it sounds like Baston deal is all but done. If that happens big turnaround in this past week as far as the transfer window is concerned. Was looking super bleak a week ago

Trying to agree with personal terms with Baston. Clubs have settled on the transfer fee

What a difference a few weeks makes. Actually excited about the season now with Llorente and Borja on board. Could end up being the best 1-2 punch we've had at striker in quite a long time

Bartley has been solid thru preseason and two games. Like you said, he looks comfortable at this level. Grimes was kind of disappointing vs qpr but then again so was the whole team.

Yeah Grimes just needs consistent minutes to get acclimated to the level of play I believe. How has Pablo looked? I was always a fan of his

Dude was fantastic as a #10 last night. Monk said he was supposed to start at qpr but didn't get cleared in time. Should keep his place for a while.

That was a great signing by Monk for yall I think. I was sad to see him leave Swansea after the Laudrup era went to shite

Guidolin has already come out and said that Ki and Taylor won't be playing tomorrow and that Gylfi will start on the bench to give them all extra rest after their summers. With Gylfi and Ki both out creativity in the midfield is going to be hard to come by. Will be interesting to see how they set up

Baston ruled out until after the international break with a thigh injury. Will miss about 3 games.

Really need Baston up top. Last two games have been pretty ugly. We need someone who can finish at the net.

Yeah he's supposed to be healthy after the break. Routledge needs to sit. He's just been a turnover machine. The lack of creativity is apparent. If Jeff, Barrow or Gylfi isn't creating something by themselves then nothing is happening. I like having the wingers being creative but at times we become way too dependent on it and one dimensional. It becomes get it out wide and hope they do something and that's it

I can't decide if Llorente is just adjusting or just isn't great. He does a nice job possessing and distributing the ball under pressure and his size is nice to have in the box. On the downside, I don't think I've seen him take a shot on goal and if he doesn't have someone to pair up with him up top he's just not going to be very effective. Maybe he's just adjusting to the league?

Hard to really judge him at this point. He looks like has good feet to link up well with Gylfi or another striker but all we do is swing balls in at his head when he's the only man in the box. Hard to ask him to be productive like that

He kind of died after the Athletic fiasco his final year there.

He's almost entirely useless now except as a large body in the box.

ya boy just got unbanned so expect more rage novellas after the games

here's a real quick one

First-Llorente is trash, I didn't expect him to score a lot but I thought his hold play would benefit our wingers but no hes all around trash and a poosie. Borja and Mcburnie Sanders need to play( yes I know borja is hurt)

Second- If routledge sees the field as the starter one more time this season I will punch a baby. He is so bad and losses the ball every time. He turned the ball over like an idiot and it lead straight to the vardy goal. Montero is a million times better than routledge

Other than that im really not worried, we looked the better team against Hull but the final ball was lacking and then conceded on a corner( which we have to get better at)

Then against Leicester we couldn't make a pass first half and two mistakes that lead to goals( routledges dumbass and another corner) but after the subs we looked close to getting a point out of it.

After the break and with Montero and Borja starting I think we beat Chelsea.

It's going to be a long season. That game was tough to watch yesterday. No possession, lost basically every 50/50 ball, midfield was just abused all day. Unless Borja is the answer it's just going to be really tough to build up enough consistent attack for Swansea to score goals.

It's been tough to watch for a while now. The midfield just made no sense. Fer should never be played in a holding mid role as he has no interest in playing defense. Same with Ki. Once we brought on Montero and had some balance in attack so it wasn't all going through Barrow we looked better. Really need Baston to get to full fitness because someone needs to start scoring some goals.

Much better this past week. Team looked a lot better on Saturday even though the result wasn't there.

Leon has to absolutely be the first name on the sheet each game. It is night and day when he plays.

Rumours over here that Giggs has been in talks with the board about coming into the management team.

I agree, much better showing this weekend, unfortunate to give up that pk.

I like leon in the midfield but we cant rely on him, he getting old, can be out muscled and gave the ball a few too many times( the counter goal....)

we need a replacement for him

Also why do we not play Montero? I would rather him than routledge every time.

But I was extremely impressed by the vd Horn and Amar CB duo
