Someone in the other thread mentioned that we made Costa Rica look like France. I don't agree with that assessment but we certainly didn't look good. I wonder what our touches in the final third look like. We kept them to only 2 shots on goal but Howard made no saves.

We had 200 more passes than Costa Rica, 20% more possession, we won more duels and aerials, and had more corner kicks.

The fact that we were even on yellow cards is fricking bananas

I'm hoping tonight was just an anomaly for this group. We're gonna struggle when even guys like Howard, Cameron, and Pulisic aren't playing well.

We certainly had more of the ball, but it felt like we had 2 or 3 good chances all game, and the rest were half-chances, at best. The midfield just looked off.

Win at Honduras and this isn't terrible... lose, and we're in some deep shite, but should still at least make the playoff.

We need to get it together though and doing so on the road at Honduras won't be easy.

So the better team lost. That's on the coach. Horrible back line. Disjointed lineup that failed to match CRs hacking and the Panamanian refs willingness to let them. Dempsey should have started, replaced by Wood's speed late against a tired defense. Ream and Cameron were (and always have been) horrible, Bedoya would have been a better choice in front of Bradley, with Nagbe wide. Still should have at least tied, except for a penalty not given and an incredible save.

Both ream and Cameron play on the outside for their clubs and it showed last night at times.

Neither Cameron nor Ream play on the outside anymore for their clubs

Wasn't aware fulham moved ream inside. I know I've seen Cameron on the outside this season for stoke.

That was Cameron's worst game for the US and it's not particularly close, saying he's always been terrible is the height of hyperbole. Ream was very bad in the first half but he actually won a ton of headers and covered a lot of ground in the second half. I think the criticism of him is a bit overstated
