Money is no issue. You can choose 1 of the following strikers. Who do you take and why? Or you can give your order of the 3 and why?

Diego Costa
Edinson Cavani
Falcao

Thanks for your input.

If I had to pick, I'd probably go with a healthy Falcao. He's just a ridiculously pure goalscorer.

Healthy Falcao
Diego Costa
Cavani

Costa may end up being more effective than Falcao. May.

IMO, Cavani is a fraud (at this level).

Healthy Falcao easily #1

The other two I would not want at all on my team.

That shocks me, because Cavani seems to be more proven than Costa. Costa has had 1 breakout season. He's also a huge count. You've obviously seen him more than I have, but watching some highlights, they came across as very meh. When Stoke is packing the box, Costa would be the least likely to score IMO.

For you.

He did ALL the dirty work for Falcao, and managed to score something like 12 goals, as well.

On a side note, Falcao was named to Colombia's 30 man, so I guess he still has a shot to play.

Again, from what I saw of his goals, they were tap ins from excellent runs. Normally I'd applaud this, but again, when EPL teams pack the box he won't be that effective. I guess, to be fair, I didn't say who would best fit Chelsea. From that POV, I don't understand how Costa is going to help us that much.

Hazard´s game would benefit tremendously from a side with Diego Costa. Tremendously.

I don´t know that much about Demba Ba, but if he´s mobile, smart, and a killer, they could pair well (Costa as I said, is a proven success both as a lead or set up, therefore will help tremendously).

I hope you are right, because we sure aren't going to be gaining any fans by having that miserable count on our squad.

He's a physical striker who can be both a target man and a poacher. Hell Atletico's game this year involved a rotational target man, usually Raul Garcia but occasionally Costa, and a poacher. Costa has absolutely superb off-the-ball movement, and he's excellent at creating space. He'll open up space for midfield runners like no other striker Chelsea have. I think Mourinho is going to deploy him like Drogba. Chelsea might need to add a midfield runner to complement a player like Costa, as well as to improve their service into the box, as Costa will create chances by his movement alone.

Diego Costa may make a consistent player out of Óscar.

Only if Mourinho will let him run.

The way smaller teams play against Chelsea mitigates the things that Oscar is good at. He needs to develop a final ball if Chelsea is going to face teams that pack 10 behind the ball.

That's just a function of how Atletico plays. He'll go full Yaya if he can isolate a defender or two in space

Otherwise, he's decent in the air, good off the ball (as noted), and finishes really well. All things that could be beneficial in the situation you are describing

It's really not that bad

He's dirty, which is something that virtually every soccer player is. He's just really, really good at being dirty. His shite talking will probably suffer, though

Most of the time, he's just going to run around, run into people, and get kicked/hit

You sure? He had 2 appearances for Brazil. 2. Spain may have wanted him, but I think Brazil was fighting just to keep him away from Spain. I hope all of you guys are right about Costa, though. I just am having a hard time seeing it working.
