Definitely good at not crowding the middle.

Landon Donovan.

On a serious note, I think Fabian is much more suited in a wide role (either fullback or winger) than in the middle, where he looks pretty pedestrian to me.

I think Zusi, Bedoya, Green, Gyau, Yedlin, all bring something different to the table.

To me, our personnel is just suited to a two striker system. We don't have that creative advanced midfielder or game-changing wingers, but we have some good options (Dempsey, Bacon, Rubin, even Green) off of a main forward (Jozy or Boyd), as well as wide players who can put in a shift defensively, swing balls in, etc.

Easily, although he's no longer a team member.

We don't have anyone with the total package of a winger. We have some guys that can do bits and pieces of it. But there is a severe lack of overall quality there.

I think thats why Brek got so many chances, he had potential to grow into that. Just didn't happen (for lots of reasons).

I agree with you. Brek has the tools except for the one that is between his ears. He pisses me off so much.
I'm almost embarrassed to wear his jersey, almost.

I'd argue Fab.

It just so happens that he is also our best outside back.

Our best winger is also our best fullback. That's not good.

Green still looks like a little boy playing against men. Not in terms of his ability, he just looks really young. Hopefully he grows into something special like everyone seems to think he will. But honestly, I haven't seen anything from him to make me think he will grow into a world class type player.

Gyau looked pretty good to me in those friendlies, but who knows.

I've never really noticed all these tools that people say he has. Yeah, he's big and kind of fast. But he has terrible feet and isn't nearly agile or skillful enough to ever be a real player.
