Dreams can come true.

England is so desperate right now, that's sad.

And I say this liking where Klinsmann had us 2-3 years ago, but he isn't going to get us to the next step.

Good. Fresh blood here and get big Sam's name out of consideration.

Fwiw, England FA still has not asked US Soccer for permission to speak to under-contract Jurgen Klinsmann.

False alarm, sorry guys

Yeah, this is just Jurgen's PR team getting his name out there.

Don't care if it's a false alarm. The more this gets out there the more I'll allow myself I hope.

I swear to God I'm throwing a party if he leaves.

Jurgen Klinsmann

Damned good manager who has outlived his time with the USMNT, IMO.

A fresh start might be a good thing for both sides.

If England did hire Jurgy, I would thoroughly enjoy sitting back and watching that fiasco unfold over the next couple of years.

I'm not sure if this is a joke or not.

He has good ideas for youth soccer but he's not a good manager at all.

We have to continue to make strides with our youth system and try to phase out pay to play for our best talent.

We also need a competent man in control of the full national team who can develop a style of play that is consistent with the talent we have available.

Sure, the bit about Gulati not standing in the way is a change.

"Getting Klinsmann out of his contract with the US national team was one of the sticking points over his appointment, but it is now thought that Sunil Gulati, head of US Soccer, will be happy to see Klinsmann poached."

None of it is sourced, though, not even anonymously. You can make up anything you want and say "it is thought" and still be telling the truth. Not really a reliable outlet.
