I mean, even I said that in the post. He isn't Ronaldo. It's not a stretch to compare the situations, though, with the point being made that a talented player like Depay can still fulfill potential without being a phenom immediately. It just may take time to really hit his stride. Ronaldo, on the other hand, was clearly contributing big things even without finding the net, but once he progressed as a player and person, things switched on for him and he became this freak we know now.

City didn't win shite last year

Sterling and Depay had the same impact on the match today and Depay didn't even play.
