When the summer transfer window is over who will we be saying are the 5 biggest summer transfers?

My take:
1. Neymar to Barcelona
2. Bale to Man City
3. Suarez to Bayern Munich
4. Hummels to Man City
5. Modric to Arsenal

Is there anything to back this up? Or is it just a guess from you? I'd love to see this happen so much.

That would be the catalyst for the creation of the Anti-Spur.

Take it for what you will but my father is good friends with Wenger. They grew up together in France. Anyway they were chatting of the phone the other day and it seems Arsenal are interested in him. Would definitely strengthen the midfield and upset Spurs

Wait, your dad is friends with Wenger and is getting inside transfer information from him? Seems legit.

I agree, that was entertaining even regardless of the obvious troll/alter

I don't know which on your list are you just screwing around after seeing #5, but I'm going to pretend you're serious about the rest. I don't see this happening at all, especially after hearing all their other targets/gets they just don't have room for him.

I can't wait until he tells us that Bale is going to the Arse.

Also, he said in another thread that he's a Man City fan. Does not compute.

I'm voting for LSUTiger17 above, trying to support his alter there by actually thinking that us Arsenal posters will believe the OP.

I didn't read far enough down to see that everyone recognized him as a troll. Apparently I'm pretty clueless today. Earlier I walked into the tanning place by subway on burbank by accident; I doubt they make good sandwiches. I think finals are getting to me

Um, no. We would pay far too much for him. I'm sure that Arsenal is interested, but that doesn't mean we will buy him. He doesn't fit the MO of Wenger's transfers. He's not the incisive AM we need. He's a great DLP who can dictate play, but in Ramsey, Arteta, and Wilshere, that's not a position we need to reinforce, just yet. If we were to get a DLP to replace Arteta for the future, I'd hope we'd target someone like Kevin Strootman, or Ivan Rakitic. If we do get him, that will be hilarious, but I'm skeptical. Considering how tight-lipped Wenger has been about transfers, I seriously doubt he would tell anyone, even close childhood friends from his days when he frolicked between Strasbourg and his parents bistro, La Croix d'Or.

ETA: I just read the rest of this thread. Decent troll.
