Our favorite Brit/future American Roger Bennett called it back in December.

He called it. Predicted we'd beat Ghana, draw Portugal, and lose by 1 to Germany and go through on goal differential. Also predicted we'd win the whole thing. Clearly he's psychic.

With soccer growing more and more in the U.S. with every new World Cup cycle, it's bound to happen. It's almost a formality. And when that day comes, there will be massive riots in England, Spain, France, Germany, and Brazil.

Maybe not in any of our lifetimes, but it will eventually happen.... we've made the knockouts 3 of the last 4... it's expected at this point.

I predict that 5 world cups from now we will make it to the simi- final. Not that were going to win, but if we keep on improving on course we are at it's a very strong reality. I know the semi finals isn't winning it all, but I think we legit get to it and not backing our way in, but by winning our group and being feared.

People forget pretty quick that Spain just won their first title, the Netherlands are still without one despite making it to the finals multiple times. Consistently making knockout rounds means dick (ask Mexico). It's not a given that it will happen, but who knows.
