Oh I wish him the best for sure... As much as I was on the "Fire BR" wagon toward the end, I do think he's a good guy and could become a decent manager.

I'm surprised Sunderland hasn't hired him already

He had to go. He was in over his head and starting to make decisions solely based on trying to save his job rather than sticking to his real guns.

Its the nature of the beast these days and there are 2 world class managers available.

His record in Europe was absolutely shocking all around.

I wish him the best, but it was time.

I agree. Can we recall Illori from loan? I'd love to see him get a run-out with Sakho. And I want to see a Gomez Sakho pairing.

Lord he'd be a phenomenal fit.

Just give him full reign and let him work. It's obvious that transfer committee is crap all around.

If we can make this work, the fire will be reignited in me. He is literally our perfect underdog manager.

We know he is still hungry as well.

Maybe after the Jan. window it will change

Would make sense to take a few weeks to hire a DOF before the winter window

I think too much is being made about this committee... Most teams don't have a single person making these decisions in a vacuum. Supporters are just looking to put blame somewhere.

I think, if anything, it's the expensive transfers BR pushed through that have hurt us most. And his refusal to give the ones he didn't, a proper chance in their correct positions.

I'm really believing we will get Klopp... He will be the biggest signing since Suarez IMO and will really energize the fan base. This would be huge!

I agree that there needs to be some kind of checks and balances but you also need to have multiple people on the same page. Not 3 people pulling in opposite directions for what type of player each feels we need.

I don't disagree, I'm just saying I think too much is put on it.

It happens all the time... Look at the player's Rafa wanted and the one's he ended up getting w/o a "committee"

I'm all for a DoF, who you can place all the blame with. But... he will have his "committee" of people working under him and advising him.

I just think people hear the word "committee" and want to point a finger and say that's what's wrong. Where in the past, you could point at say, Rick Parry, and say it's him.

I dunno, just my two cents, it may very well be what's wrong..

I wish I knew the context, because everything in that gif is just awesome.

I feel sick just waiting for an announcement. Checking Twitter, and Reddit every 1/2 hr. I even woke up a couple of times last night just to see if there was any early morning news out of Europe.

It's like that feeling when there's this insanely hot girl you want so bad.. And you THINK she likes you. And you're playing the texting game. That feeling of hope, anxiety, and uncertainty knowing that you could frick this up yet.

They're reporting all over RAWK that it's as good as done. I know we've all heard that before but let me steal some GIFS from their thread over there. It's f-ing epic.

Really don't want to jinx it but just reiterate how badass this dude is.

On rumours Mats Hummels could join Manchester United

"If that's not a b------t story, I'll eat a broomstick."

Again on Hummels, this time when he was out injured

"We will wait for him like a good wife waiting for her husband who is in jail"

On having a hair transplant

"Yes, it’s true. I underwent a hair transplant. And I think the results are really cool, don’t you?"

On potentially being a TV presenter

"I’d have maybe presented some kind of afternoon programme where people aren’t all that interested in what you’re saying, and you just stare ahead"

During a fixture congestion

"It’s as if someone has to play the world chess championship after 72 hours of sleep deprivation."

Comparing his style to Arsene Wenger's

"He likes having the ball, playing football, passes. It’s like an orchestra. But it’s a silent song. I like heavy metal.”

On playing in the Champions League final

"It was great, the weather was good, everything is okay, only the result is so s---t that I cannot.... All the other things were great."

On singing

"I couldn’t have been a rock star, although I do sing Country Road very loudly on the PlayStation karaoke game."

Talking to the British press.

"You don't understand? You should learn. There are some really good German explanations for some problems. But I don't know how to say it in English."

After a poor run of form to end 2014

"The best news today is that football is over for 2014, any criticism that we receive now is justified. We are standing here like complete idiots and it's completely our own fault."

On trying to outdo Bayern Munich in the transfer market

"We have bows and arrows. And when we aim precisely, we can hit the target. It's only that Bayern have a bazooka. The probability that they will hit the target is clearly higher. But then Robin Hood was apparently quite successful."

On losing Mario Gotze to Bayern

"Gotze has gone because he is Guardiola's personal chosen signing and he wants to play with Guardiola, in his style. I can't make myself 15cm shorter or start speaking Spanish"

On winning at Bayern Munich

"When Borussia Dortmund last won here 19 years ago, most of my players were still being breastfed"

On whether the night of the 2012 German Cup final—when they beat Bayern Munich 5-2—could have been any better?

"It could have been a bit warmer"

On having to give interviews after a defeat

"During the first interview, I was very disappointed. During the second one I already felt a bit better. If I wait half an hour, I’ll probably have the feeling that we won."

On creating a philosophy at the club when he took the job in 2008

"The fans should not only recognise us by our black and yellow jerseys. Even if we play in red, everyone in the stadium should think, ‘Whoa, that can only be BVB’.”
