Every time I feel like he's maybe been treated a bit unfair, he goes and says another infuriatingly stupid thing.
Not many managers get to rebuild multiple times without a period of winning something in between.

Our last 7 games: LLDDDWD
West Ham, ManU, Bordeaux, Norwich, Carlisle, Aston Villa, and Sion
If that isn't the definition of mediocrity then idk what is.

Furthermore, these are our next six matches...
Everton (away)
Spurs (away)
Southampton (home)
Chelsea (away)
Crystal Palace (home)
Man City (away)
Only way I see Brendan still here is if FSG forget about our form bc of the int'l break

A couple ITKs are saying BR is gone after the derby... Obviously, grain of salt, but...

FDBs name is resurfacing as a candidate, as well today... From Barrett and Joyce

I read the same stuff today.
We shall see.

I'm hoping the "review" on Monday is not true - I hate when things like that get out before a derby game, etc. I would hope we could keep things like that more quiet. Part of me just wants him gone, but I do think he'll become a better mananger in the next few years. He's just not learning (because of his arrogance) the way he should be.
I'm still trying to figure out some of Rodgers thinking - we have zero cover at LB or RB other than an 18 year old CB or a right footed attacking winger. I mean, back four or back three - either way that is bad.
We have a real problem with speed in our line-up - its really just two players - one being 19 and one being injury prone. So he loans out markovic?
There is either zero thought process or completely inept thought process put into managing the team and its needs for the season. Who needs wingers when we can keep putting CAM outside where they are completely ineffective?
Last thought - there was a piece on one of the Liverpool blog sites recently about somethingAlex Ferguson said - about being true to yourself and your vision as a manager or it will never work. You can't change yourself from fear, etc. And the blog (which I can't find right now) basically said that BR is doing the opposite. Changes his philosophy, changes his structure, has no idea what his true self is anymore. And I think thats spot on. I think the club and the pressure is more than he was ready to take on, and he's found himself grasping for anything that will hold him up for a bit. We all know that the 3 at the back is not long term solution - hell, we do not have the squad for it (wingbacks, midfield 2 that could dominate, weak CBs and we need 3 on the fieldetc), but the fact that it gets two forwards on the line means it looks better and looks like progress.
Sorry for the wall of text....up way way early with the baby and reading and thinking.

well, he's fighting for his job... he's desperate... fired his long time staff.. changing his core philosophy (for now, at least).. I don't think Slur Alex would have made it at United, the way he started, in current times...
I still think his main problem is his eye for talent, it's mid table, at best! His arrogance/stubbornness is a close second.. Lets face it, if he was in charge, we'd have never have signed Suarez... He doesn't seem to know shite outside of the EPL...
I honestly don't think he's a bad manager, but LFC shouldn't be on the job training for him...

I think thats my biggest problem - training implies he's learning and improving. And I don't think he's any better of a manager than he was two years ago. There is no learning going on with him right now.
In fact, he's a worse manager due to the desperation and grasping at anything. That lack of confidence goes right on down to the players.

13/14 really went to his head... leading up to that, he was really improving and getting better.. getting things out of young players...
but his defensive naiveté has been there all along, even that season... he was somewhat smart enough to get out of the way of Luis. Studge, Phil and Raheem... I even think moving Stevie deeper worked with that attacking front..

Never a truer statement has been spoken here. I just have had it with him, we are never going to be anything more than a 6th or 7th place team with him in charge. It's depressing to watch as a supporter because we are just middling around and not truly moving forward. The fact that there are truly world class managers that appear to be extremely interested in the position doesn't make it any better.

And all this happening where a 3rd or 4th place finish would be much more attainable. City should win the league. Arsenal is good but still have some questions and same for United. While Chelsea is absolutely shitting the bed.
And can we take advantage of a down year? Nope cause we're too busy trying to stay in the top half of the table much less shoot for top 4

Ings is going to be captain for you guys one day. Watched way more Burnley than anyone probably should last year due to our annual relegation fight. He was often able to do so much with so little around him. The guy also cares more than 99 percent of professional footballers and is a true warrior out there. He was my pipe dream signing this summer but figured he'd go to a big club. Think he's only going to get better as he has decent athleticism and is still young.

He's definitely become a crowd favorite. He's Suarez-esq in his drive, and passion. He looks absolutely pissed off when he misses. And he seems like a nightmare to defend. I'm glad we picked him up!

Missed about 99% of the match this morning, but just saw the highlights... Guess we looked okay? Certainly not great.
Anyone have any insight?

It was time for him to go. Have to say, I'm really excited (at least for now) to see who we bring in, and to get some new life and perspective into the club. Would be over the moon if klopp or ancelotti come in.
