I kinda wouldn't mind, because it would mean BR would likely get his walking papers before even making it back to the locker room

Can is going to give me a fricking heart attack one day.

Sturridge is spent. He needs to come off.

Foolish of Rodgers not to make that sub sooner than the 92nd fricking minute. No need for Daniel to play 90 minutes.

Played much better today... We were the much better team.. They finished their two chances, credit due to keep it close

Well. It was a lot more I n to watch than any game this year.

Studge has 5 shots this year, all five on target and two goals. He is clearly vital to our offense.

Can struggled this weekend - I would like to see Gomez at RCB.

I would also love to see a diamond with firmino at the tip at some point - he's been wasted on the wing.

That we did, but defensively we still look way too lost, and way too often. Can had a bad clearance that almost netted them a goal. Overall, it was nice to see us possess the ball for much of the match, but damn, why do we always give away such quick goals? We are really bad defending any counter attack. Hats off to Villa for finishing them, but we have trouble getting back and picking up assignments. Its frustrating to watch us really be the better team for once, yet keep a match so close because we have trouble getting back.

Can needs to move into a holding midfield role, rather than play in the back three. I'd like to see a Sakho, Skrtel, Gomez back three if that's what we are going to go with.

There were too many times Can was wandering up field and found himself in really bad position whenever Villa attacked.

Agreed. I love his work rate and pace. He doesnt look to be a back line defender though.

I'm thinking bentenke being out will end up a positive. Ings movement and energy are great. We are taking away the "easy" send it up top to bentenke option from our passing which we have down far too often and which doesn't work too well under Rodgers spacing. We can slowly bring bentenke back in so that we don't hoof it up to him and he will integrate better back into our offense.

But I think Ings has a real place in this squad due to his energy and movement. Watching him against a villa that packed it back in the first half, and he was a constant waterbug of movement which opens up space for others.

Why is Joe Gomez not playing?

Because he is young, and is an absolute liability on the left. And Alberto Moreno has been on fire since taking his place in the squad.

If you mean why isn't he playing at CB, it can only be because he isn't pushing Sakho or Skrtel out of the lineup. And he won't work on the right.

We might see him on the right side of the back 3 Thursday night with the squad rotations. At least that's what I hope to see

I can't even watch anymore.

Rodger and Burt have slaughtered my soul to the point of apathy.

We're not going anywhere with him, why the dog and pony dance of keeping him around. This is a serious joke.

I wouldn't mind seeing Moreno rested and Enrique rolled out for these cup games... at least early on..

We're paying him, might as well get some use out of him...
