man... we're getting crammed up in the back. No separation, no space. I feel like we have the personnel to be competitive, just not the gameplan.

Well we look a ton better today. Thank you Brendan for finally changing the shape. We've sat back and defended well for the most part when they get in our half, but we've been much more organized with our pressing in their half with Benteke, Can, and Milner leading the charge.
Lovren getting much more confident which is a good thing. Still has me nervous when he can get a little reckless, but it's a start. Gomez is a hell of a one on one defender, but he's still not a LB playing his first few games in top division football. He hasn't been bad, but he'll still get caught out of position occasionally. And I can't see Moreno would be better with all his mistakes leading to goals last year, but damn it would be nice to have another fullback that can help out going forward on the left side.
And finally we look more threatening in attack, but shite, we need to do better putting away our chances. Cech has come up huge, but we've gotta put at least one away to take advantage of these chances

you sure about that? he's not Ronaldo, but in the classical sense, yes he is an attacking midfielder. He is consistently one of the top scorers on his squad.

I don't get why Moreno isn't starting. I understand Gomez is a better defender but Jesus he has no idea what to do with the ball at his feet. He looks lost going forward

As good as he looks going forward, he looks equally bad defending. I think Brendan put a priority on defense at that position, and let the attack build from elsewhere. I think Gomez has been absolutely fantastic, and it's going to be a privilege to watch him play in the Red for the foreseeable future.
Great point today. Should have put one in in the first half, and the second was terrifying, but I'll take a point from the Emirates all day long. Let's win the ones we're favored in and if we fight like that against the top teams, I think we'll be happy where we end up at the end of the season.

And its laughable to call him an AM.
And the attacking mid suggestion was a joke we have like 15 mediocre AMs.
Good performance. We really need a sturridge to work off Benteke. We'd be so much more dangerous.
Moreno should have come on earlier but everything else was pretty solid. Really not enjoying the use of Ibe. He looked absolutely dreadful. Don't think he made a single positive play. Putting him in there like that is going to kill his confidence and form. Wait for league and FA cup games for that.

I'd love to give Origi some playing time and play him up top with Teke for the Belgium 1-2.

Yup.
Ibe just isn't effective and is way too 1 dimensional at this point. A team like Arsenal will exploit him all day long.
