If Rodger's starts Lovren over Sakho on the 9th it will signal to us that he has learned absolutely nothing from last year's embarrassment.

well, there's some quotes from him yesterday saying he hasn't decided yet...
However, it looks like he's giving Lovren every opportunity to be the first choice LCB... why else would he be pairing him up with Skrtel the entire preseason?? Though we've played pretty weak teams that haven't really challenged them..

Scoreless at the half... We should definitely be up at least one... Firmino pulled one back to Benteke and he should have finished it... A lot of players look a little rusty...

Just watched the beginning of the second half but Firmino looks good and should've had a 1 on 1 with the keeper but was wrongly called offside.

I mean I don't know what else he could've done. He's like a yard, maybe two from the guy. Any closer and he risks being beat on the dribble. It was just a gorgeous finish.
