One thing I'm really liking - a lot of klopp a loanees are going to to coaches he has worked with himself in his past. They likely employ similar methods and he will be on top of the situation. Latest is the 18 year old Nigerian attacker heading on loan to a former klopp youth system coach in the Netherlands. I'm liking this a lot.

So Sakho was late for the flight to the U.S. Late for a team meal and missed a treatment session for his achilles.

Is there something else underlying going on with him in regards to the Club or Klopp?

ETA: Set pieces again.

Welp, that was terrible marking on that corner.

Well it didn't help set the tone with Moreno acting a fool.

First ten minutes were shaky. Boys got it together and looked decent after the goal, just had issues staying inside on a couple of build-ups. Firmino was a victim of that on his pulled back goal.

Grujic took a fierce head butt to the side of his head and sat the last 4 minutes of the first half. Probably going through concussion protocol. Didn't sub for him, so if he is alright he can still go for the second half.

Klavan looks good minus the set piece goal he/Lovren gave up.

Karius was helpless on that goal, but has been largely untested otherwise.

Ejaria and Manè have looked great on the ball. Both with nifty moves to free a runner or two, including a great back heel by Ejaria on the pulled back goal.

Coutinho looks like normal, and Firmino took a few to settle in.

Moreno super meh. Randall is playing decently, but is very average pushing forward.

ETA: Grujic replaced by Lallana.

Firmino is miles behind the pace. He needs some serious training sessions.

Not sure Firmino was the issue, and I am not 100% convinced that the goal he scored should have been disallowed.

I do think midfield passing was terrible all game long, and that the lack of overall chemistry was clear (youth mixed with vets and new faces).

Ragnar was pretty good tonight. I am encouraged by what I saw of him. Seemed like just a lazy passing performance by the fellas tonight. Not a horrible showing, they never quit... Just didn't have that extra juice.

I'm not saying he was to blame completely, but he was clearly a step behind pretty much everyone else in the attack the entire game. I counted 6 times where our beautiful build up play just died when it got to him because of a poor touch, slow reaction, or slow decision making. He's not match fit yet.

Firming is definitely a step behind but nothing that can't be fixed in the next month. I am seriously considering The Redmen, I find myself watching it a lot with You Tube so I think I'm going to give it a shot.

dragging this morning after staying up to watch... I thought we did okay for pre-season... had a few chances.. Grujic and Firmino needed to do better to prevent Cahill's header..

Klavan impressed me in defense, though admittedly, he wasn't that pressured... I liked his composure..

Cesc's tackle was horrible...

It was tough to watch, given how watered down the field was...

edit: Ovie was also impressive at times.. looking forward to his development
