Anybody have any alternate ways of listening or watching? At work on my phone, and not having any luck.

Looks like Allen is on the way out. I think I called that.

Yeah, I think it's looking more and more like that, granted let's wait and see how he plays against bigger names first, but I like what I see at this point

Also, just noticed Grujic is not on the OP for transfers (I know it was technically during last season, but with the loan I'd consider it part of this year's crop, but that's just my opinion, feel free to overrule that)

Moreno
You gotta let Shamal George take that pen...
And sad to see Joe go. Was always serviceable. Stoke quietly building up a solid squad

Can't really argue with that. He's just one of those guys that does his job, keeps his mouth shut, and is just an overall likeable guy at the club.

All the usual outlets reporting a £25mm deal for GW is done...
I like the pick up, though the price may be a tad high... It is what it is, in this years transfer market where we get £15mm for Ibe and £13mm for Allen in the last year of his deal...
11 goals last season and he is a very versatile player... The majority of NUFC supporters are sad to see him go, where as they can't wait to see the back of Sissoko

He started off great but after November he was pretty shitty.

Not true at all. You should see what the true Geordie had to say about him. Lots of their fans were getting pissed at his lack of effort after Christmas.

I admit he had an inconsistent season, but look at who he was playing with. I don't think anyone is expecting the second coming of Zidane... He's had a very good goal return from his career, from the midfield... There's always a bit of a transition to the EPL, especially from the Dutch league...
It's absolutely true that the NUFC fans wanted him to stay... Everything I've read across multiple forums have said that.. Now, I'm sure they are happy to get a good fee for him.. I'm not suggesting they have him at a Shearer level... Or that they didn't get really frustrated with him
At the last preseason match they were singing for him to stay and Sissoko to go..
Again, a solid, versatile player with a good upside... I like the signing.

Joyce is saying the £25mm is including add ons and that Klopp pushed through the deal after conversations with Benitez..

Hearing Schalke are looking at Markovic as a Sane replacement... I would be disappointed, but maybe it's for the best... He needs to get a lot more playing time for his development... The GW signing would def ease the loss...
I think now that we're getting our new guys in, the exodus will really start now..

Agree.
The fee for Wijnaldum seems a little high but I trust Klopp

There are tickets left from the Cardinals still. Mostly in sections that are not prime viewing for the field orientation. Seems to be reasonable priced stuff on the third party sites. Should not have any problems getting tickets.
If any of you make it here for the match it would be fun to meet up and buy you all a beer. We are going to pre pre party at the Amsterdam tavern (Great soccer pub) then pre party at ballpark village and then probably head down for the march to the match.

I'm excited about GW. People ask where he's going to fit in like they're is this true static darting XI. He will rotate in or be a sub when we play with three attacking midfielders.
He can start and make a 4-3-3 giving klopp some options against certain opponents.
Yes he was inconsistent the second half of the year - but Newcastle was a dumpster fire and I trust klopp to know if he can get maximum effort from someone.
He's basically replacing joe Allen when joe played high up the pitch the second half of last year.
And I would love to keep joe - but I think he wants to play more and we've told him we are uncertain about that. So our only choice is to sell him. It's fair to him even if it's not that most popular choice.

Back after a short hiatus. I'm so excited about the Wij deal. Been a fan of his for a long, long time.

I am too. A lot of pundits are pointing to his "inconsistent" form last year but you have to take into account what a dumpster fire Newcastle was last season as well as where they were playing him.
