Man, I thought his second option was with the Earthquakes.

It's about time. Hopefully his ego doesn't get in the way of playing with Messi for at least 5 years.

Barca definitely needed someone to take some scoring pressure off of Messiah up front because Pedro wasn't great this season, Alexis isn't Barca quality, and Villa is getting up there in age. To be honest I'd take Tello and Deulofeu over Alexis.

Pedro is a great foil for Messi when Pedro is on form, as he has good technique, and his offensive positioning is superb. Alexis seemed better at Udinese as an out and out winger. He's still a good player, but doesn't fit Barca's system.

The adaptation Neymar has to make is to not ask for the ball to his feet. It's frustrating to watch Barca post 2011 when their movement is pedestrian, though they can keep possession extremely well. Neymar has to make runs. If he tries to dribble through players, which he surely will, he'll have a lot more trouble adjusting.

which he surely will

I've been impressed with his ability to get the ball off of his feet against quality opposition for the full national team. Things haven't fully come together for him, but he has been able to cause significant problems for teams without turning the game into a youtube highlight video.

Alexis is still a very good player, but he's best at taking players on and not the one touch passing game of Barca...

He's an efficient dribbler, but space in La Liga will be even tighter than the international game.

much, much tighter.

he´s also going to get knocked around. Mucho, mucho.

We´ll see what he´s made of, mentally speaking.

That SI report came out yesterday saying the same thing. I've never used SI new wire for soccer. But, Interesting. It maybe a good source.

It also said that Mourinho goes to London on June 4th to sign a 4 year deal.

IMO Neymar will struggle a little at first adjusting to the different style of play but I truly believe that he is a smart enough player to figure out which adjustments need to be made and then adapt accordingly.
